Great looking tiny house. The only change I would make for me is the swap the kitchen/bath area with the living room. That would cut the streak time from the bath to the bed room. LOL

I really do like this house. I like that it’s cute and has a lot of potential to look fabulous with my stuff in it! I like that it can be moved easily…well, relatively easy and not as cheaply as if you could move it yourself but still. I feels so roomy and still is cozy. There is one thing I see that should be an absolute no-no and I’ve seen it on renovation shows and in photos of way too many homes, and that is a bathroom door that has glass in it!!! I don’t care if it is frosted, if the light is on, you, well, your silhouette, can still be observed and noted. Just don’t do it, people! Get a solid door so people can relax in the bathroom, for crying out loud!!! And get yourself a real bookcase! I could live without the fireplace so I can put a nice bit antique storage piece there and put my BIG screen TV on it. It’s a great little house and sorry if I sound grumpy. I just hate bathroom doors with glass…and bathtubs by too-low windows, too, unless you actually live in the wilderness with your closest neighbor about 40 miles away! I know, I know, stop already! 😉 Chalk it up to personal preference!

We had an apartment with a fully glass (not frosted) bathroom door. It was SO strange! Made having guests over quit uncomfortable.

Opinions vary, depending on distance from the door someone may not be much more than a hardly discernible shadowy blob or may not be noticeable at all. May also not be an issue if the only thing visible is the vanity and everything else is out of view, depending on floor plan…

So could be something more of a issue for smaller bathrooms, especially if light is directional, but it could be mitigated with a double door, second could be a pocket door or another barn door (could also be a way to have a full length mirror that you can slide out when needed as well), or have blinds (which could be built in), 0r even a curtain, so additional privacy when needed could be added…

Mind the reasons for this type of door isn’t just for light and aesthetics, as bathroom panels and doors are susceptible to water stains and mold build up. With frosted glass doors and panels, you mostly don’t have to worry about that issue. Like any other glass, it won’t rust or corrode after a while. You can easily clean it with cloth to keep it looking new.

While frosted glass helps block UV and the filtered light reduces intensity of light that helps makes a room less likely to absorb heat during a warm sunny day, or the cold during the winter. Some spaces may also be harder to provide enough natural light and while frosted glass reduces the amount of the light it can help alleviate an otherwise too dark area.

Similarly, bathroom windows can also have curtains, blinds, or even barn doors or shutters as well… So there can be some flexibility if needed…

I too am wondering about the asking price, and also your time frame for the sale. The Facebook site linked says “content not available.”

We’re selling our home here on the Left Coast and moving back to North Carolina (Allegheny County) after Labor Day, so we really “need” a tiny house!

Hi Kristin — rats! I think it sold, and now that it’s on Facebook Marketplace anymore the link won’t take you to the listing.

I also really liked this shed conversion & the size is perfect: small enough to be economical both price & utility-wise but large enough that everything isn’t crammed together (including people). I especially like the dining nook w/ the built-ins & thought the floor plan made clever use of the entry area by positioning it in-between the dining nook & bathroom – thereby leaving the rest of the space available for living/kitchen & the bedroom. Since it has sold (as Natalie commented above) I’m noting the dimensions & floor plan for a possible DIY!

You had all this space and you designed the bathroom all the way at the other end of the house, ridiculous.
Next time hire a floor plan designer.

Well THAT was a snarky remark. I think this space is pretty much perfect!

It makes a lot of sense to have all the plumbing for the home in one place, which is often why bathrooms and kitchens share a wall in a tiny house.

Actually, as it’s a customized build and has been inspected, a designer was most likely involved but it’s a preference, it makes it easier to do the plumbing, which helps the budget, to keep everything on the same side and people can prefer the bathroom by the entrance for a number of reasons. Like, easier for guest to use, allows cleaning up after a trip outside so you don’t tread a mess everywhere, it’s less obstructive or distracting for the rest of the space, and some people prefer anything that might smell or produce moisture issues to be some distance from where they sleep.

All things a designer would take into account… They don’t just suggest a design with no other considerations as there are always trade offs and reasons for compromises. People just don’t all agree on what they should be…
