11 Ft. Long Tiny House Nano by Baluchon (Sleeps Three!)

This post contains affiliate links.

At just shy of 11 feet, this is the smallest tiny house built by Baluchon, but it still manages to sleep three between a twin-sized loft (encased in netting), and a pull-out couch for two.

On one end of the THOW, you’ll find the shower, toilet, and functional kitchenette with a hot plate, mini-fridge, and sink. Then on the other end is the stunning porthole window over a desk/table. In the middle is the bench for relaxing. The home was designed for a family who wanted a comfortable place to spend the night on fishing trips. Enjoy!

This is an amazing Tiny! I have one question though … they put in a shower and a faucet on the sink … where is the water storage?

Typically, it’s going to be hookups or installation of a pump and a filter to tap a nearby water source. Except for the trailer and wheels they try to keep it constructed like a house, with an emphasis on being eco-friendly…

Besides, they can’t make them too heavy in France…

This is adorable, however, I would use it as some kind of office or studio. It would be way to small for me to live in.

Seems to be excellently designed; has everything and conveniently positioned.
I’d call this one a winner and a keeper. (Excellent photos, too.)

Just having to leave visiting grand kids to that loft bed, I’d sleep down on sofa. I’m 82 yrs today. Also need small W/D. This is an adorable layout and really do like the bathroom also.

I like it. I’ve been drawing a 12′ Tiny home for awhile. This is darn good. I sleep down stairs.
I visit with grandkids. One goes up top. Great idea for part time living.

One of the cleverest and prettiest houses I’ve seen.

Having lived in, built small spaces/boats, this is an excellent design and simple to copy could be built for $2k-$5k in mostly new materials.
The loft is what I do for storage on each side, not sleeping and really adds the storage needed. Sleeping 3 in such a size is pushing it. Really for 1 person or 2 in love as you’ll find out how in love you are! But for 1-2 it can be an excellent way to survive the recession that is still going to be 10% unemployed in a yr as not much demand.
For those who like fishing Florida has lots of free primitive camping with some of the best fishing in the world. Only 2 wks/ campground but lots of them to move on to and see another place.
With a screen room off the side door can greatly increase living space and nice to sit out in the Florida fall, winter, spring.

That’s exactly my plan Jerry! I currently live in Gainesville so right now, I’m “landlocked”, so to speak. I’ve been looking for a tiny that is bigger than this one (since I’ll be living in it full time). However, this is a perfect size for vacationers who want to get by the water or even to post on Airbnb.

Impressive! Very well thought out, and functional. If I were young, I would definitely live here. So happy to see options for people to own “homes”, save money, and live a minimalist lifestyle. I haven’t given up the dream of living tiny/small….

How do we in USA work with this Tiny Home Company in France? Is iy possible to order a tiny from them for US use w/o huge price to get it here? Or are they planning on doing but;ds in US also? Would love to work with them for small time we need. However we need one by April 2021. Going extra tiny due to limited finds. Is that possible? Is it affordable?

Hi Mira — Baluchon, I’m afriad, only builds in France. There’s a chance you could have them build you a home in France and then export it, but I imagine the fees would be quite prohibitive.

    • James D.
      January 5, 2021, 1:56 pm

Ideally, keep it as local as possible for lowest cost. It’ll be prohibitively expensive to have anything delivered a significant distance, especially when importing from another country, with few exceptions. But there are many custom builders who will build whatever design you want and can copy designs from other builders, especially when they are too far from each other to compete in the same market.

Getting it by April, however, may raise the price as many of the good ones are fully booked for most of the year, but you can check Tiny House Listing, Tiny House Market, etc. for readily available models of new and used tiny homes for sale at various sizes, layouts, price ranges, features, etc.

If you already have a location you can put one, then consider a temporary solution like an RV that you can use until you can get a tiny home built, and free you up to get the best price for it…

Wow, that’s the cutest tiny house I’ve ever seen. It looks huge on the inside compared to the size of the outside. I’d like to do that with the 4×8 trailer I’ve got sitting in my backyard!

I love this. Can this be pulled with a Nissan Qashqai (Rogue Sport in the US)? I’m thinking of downsizing and living minimally just myself and my two cats. I would use the loft to store my instruments (2 cellos, guitar and keyboard). I plan to be a travelling musician.

did not see a price on this adorable tiny house

    • James D.
      October 19, 2021, 3:22 am

Prices are on the builder’s website, it’s in French as they are in France, but it states the Nano can be purchased for € 45,000 including VAT, turnkey.
