Looks nice on the inside. But the outside looks like a pretend stone farm house. Movements will shake off stones sooner or later. Not exactly safe for other road users. And drive wind will blow off the straw of the roof – which again will be a problem for other road users. So it is a no go.

Actually this home traveled from Tennessee to California and the stones are a sheet if I remember right. They won’t fall off. It’s a siding. You can check out their videos for how this was made.

The “Stones” are a facade, and have been mailed down and grouted at the seams between the panels. The Thatch is synthetic, and hurricane rated for over 150 mph. It’s used in a lot of tropical hotels.
This house traveled from East TN to California by being towed, and if you watch the (part 3- setup) video, you’ll see it held up just fine.

Great eyebrow window, maybe a Dutch door next time, and the roof is the perfect touch with river rock and shingles. As usual Randy’s attention to detail makes the home. I would LOVE to have Randy build a lighthouse for the lot next to where this unit went in. I would even let him put in that large view window and soon as I win the lotto. With the addition of Randy’s Murphy bed, you could sleep eight pretty easy. Although the majority of us will never be able to afford this local, the home stands alone so don’t be distracted by the view. It would look just as kewl next to any pop-up tent trailer in Detroit. Randy’s crew can exceed your dreams without breaking a sweat and obviously go the extra thousand miles.

I think it’s wonderful!! If it were mine the only thing I would change is have a fireplace or wood stove for even more coziness.

    I love your Tiny Houses.
Wish I had the cash to buy one from you.
I have my trailer, and the Steel framing. And my plan , thought I change it every day.
But my carpenter has not started. Now its too cold. I can’t find a barn for him to work in. What a mess.
And I need to move out by spring.
Love this look you have here. I am 12 hours away from your place. In Canada, NS. Can you send a carpenter. ? I have room and board for him. haha

The exterior is amusing, in a good way. I’d love to see where the owners settle it. I hope they’ll have suitable landscaping to complete the look.

The screen cap for the youtube video is the location,, it’s a cliff side property by the ocean. You can check their youtube channel for the previous videos showing them transporting it to California from Tennessee and installing it at the location…

Titles of the videos are “California, Here We Come! Part 1 of 3” and “Part 2 in California! DeliverySetup of “Ocean Breeze!””

Thanks! I hadn’t looked at those videos. Now I think I know where they’ve put it. Beautiful coast there. Maybe not the most perfect spot space-wise (it’s a bit tight), but pretty darn nice.

Reyne is correct in her comment above. This house traveled all the way from Eastern TN to California with no problems. Randy and ITH are quality craftsmen/craftswomen and exceed so many other builders with their personal touches and whimsical styles. I have been to their shop in TN on four occasions over the past year. They are honest hardworking people and and stand behind their products. You can see their building techniques by watching them on Youtube live. They have nothing to hide. Several of the homes they have built will be in their new tiny house community right on their shop site in TN. I have leased 2 lots from them and will be having them build my tiny home in 2020.

Love this one and wouldn’t change a thing. It was so much fun watching it be built. Incredible Tiny Homes is my builder of choice for my tiny later this year. 💜

Just lovely. Downstairs bedroom perfect. Loft would be storage for me. Can’t do ladders or stairs.

    • March 22, 2020, 1:16 pm

Betty, I am sure Randy could quote a single floor with this design and not having the loft will decrease the price by 25% as it will be a lot less labor and materials. You might go to my page for some ideas that Randy would love to do for you http://www.tugboatwilly.com. I am sure if I win the lotto Rand will be my builder of choice for at least twelve of my designs. As l design for seniors mainly some of the hardware would be different as we don’t really need to accommodate herds of people in retirement and all my designs include a half bath. I also restrict myself to Park Model 400 sqft planning as that is the best size for senior needs. With Randy’s Murphy bed you can have guests with comfort.
