VIDEO TOUR: Magenta Tiny House – Pin-Up Houses

The house is built on a flat trailer. It is a heat-insulated wooden structure on all sides. The house features a sofa bed, heating stoves, a chemical toilet and a small kitchenette. The house is small and therefore is the storage space situated in clever built-in furniture. An important element of the interior is stretched nets, which are used for stowing things.

The house has functional wiring. The trailer can be connected to the mains by a cable. There are four interior and one exterior light. Two in the main room, one in the toilet and the kitchen. There are also 3 electrical outlets. The kitchenette is equipped with a water tank, a gas cooker and plenty of open and seal-able drawers.Outdoor light and a tilting outdoor table allow you to spend romantic dinners anywhere in the countryside.

Perfect for the homeless or extremely low income

Nice design. Ideal for holidays or as a hideaway for artists/writers. Would also be perfect for the teenager who wants some autonomy while still under mum’s/dad’s eye or just needing cheap liveable accommodation for college or university. Add on a couple of feet to the width and I could easily live in this full time.

It’s a good design, and I love the concise little kitchen inset, but I am confused about how the door could open to the outside in some pictures, and looks like it is inset a couple feet in the drawing and in other pictures. In other words, are those storage departments encasing the door, or are they facing the center as you come into the door? I guess I would need a floor plan to see.

I may be wrong but I think you’re confusing the bathroom door with the exterior door that’s on the opposite side… The exterior door is not shown in the drawing but is by where the wood stove is located…

Oh! Well, that makes sense. Thanks! I like this design.

Agree w/ the other comment about this being a good low income housing solution! The house is really cute, but those colors are a bad idea for a home exterior-pink and yellow are the worst for attracting bees. Lots of bees. I love fun colors like this and maybe a bright green and blue would still be fun and pop and not draw the bees in the house.

This would make a cute mobile art studio if a bit larger windows were used in it.

I hate… WITH A PASSION… plywood walls. Having said that… here it just works. Maybe due to the small size, dunno. It just does.

Was wondering about what type of wood stove they used. looks like single burner on top of propane bottle in kitchenette. Not sure where to move it to while cooking because take small pots to get in cubby. Worst case could put a removable shower (possibly tent type camping) outside with box for hand held shower but would need water hookups. I missed any mention on that.

I love the simplicity of it and if I can get a trailer and the materials, I can build one myself. I would make a few modifications. The kitchen needs a fridge, I’m okay with a bar fridge. The bathroom needs a shower, I’m good with the composting toilet, even if I have to make one myself, it’s not a biggie. The wood stove is a bit big, on other sites I’ve seen small fireplaces designed for sailboats which uses propane. I would make mine completely off the grid, I already have the solar panel and a few LED lights. Same goes for the water, I can get those refillable jugs, because I want to be self reliant as much as possible. While I like the colour, it’s a bit too loud for me, I would tone it down a bit, maybe Green or Purple. I’ll have to get creative with storage, I’m also a musician, I have 2 cellos, a guitar and a keyboard and I have 2 cats and they’re my family. Those mesh netting things won’t work.
