Jewel’s Custom Tiny Home on Wheels

This post contains affiliate links.

This is the story of how one woman gradually downsized from a four-bedroom house, to a one-bedroom apartment, and finally to her very own custom-designed and built tiny home on wheels that you see here.

The move to tiny officially started a decade ago in 2005 when Jewel began downsizing. Over the course of ten years, she transitioned into a small one-bedroom apartment. Today she’s happily living tiny in her very own little home on wheels after over a year of designing and planning. Her trailer is 28′ long and an additional 4′ of porch space was added onto it.

When you go inside Jewel’s tiny house you’ll find a desk nook, living area, bedroom loft, den loft, floating staircase, kitchen, large closet, screened-in porch, Juliet balcony, and more! In total, Jewel’s tiny home offers about 330 sq. ft. of space inside. Please enjoy the photo tour and interview below to learn more and help us spread the word to inspire others by re-sharing with your friends at the bottom. Thank you!

What inspired you to want to build a tiny house?

My original dream started in 1992 with an “agreement” with my daughter as she started kindergarten that she’d buy me an RV so I could travel when she made it big. 🙂 In late 2013 I stumbled on Macy Miller’s TH and her story and my dream took new shape. My daughter graduated from Harvard Law and is an attorney so she technically still owes me. 🙂

How did you know that a tiny home was right for you and when did it happen?

My plan has always been to live lighter as I got older so I wouldn’t have to work as much and as hard. I wanted a lifestyle that would allow me to travel more, to be free(er) and less obligated. So that when I happen to decide I want to move to a new place it takes less effort and is less expensive. So I started the downsizing process in 2005 and over the course of 10 years went from a 4bd/3bath home to a 1bd/1bath apt. When I stumbled on Macy’s house it just clicked as the next step to be able to take my house and my favorite things with me when I want to relocate to eliminate the relocation costs and headaches associated with packing and looking for a new home in a different location. I spent the next few months researching and planning and purchased my trailer in October 2014.

Jewels-THOW-002

How did you get your tiny house built? How long did it take?

I took my plans that me, my sister and good friend worked together to design to a builder and hired him to complete my project. The build started in mid-March and was complete for the most part by the end of May.

Jewels-THOW-003

If you could go back, what would you change about your tiny house project?

There was some unnecessary stress associated with my build process and I didn’t get to really enjoy the build like I’d envisioned.

Jewels-THOW-004

What are some of the good things you’ve discovered so far while living tiny?

My build helped me realize I know more and am stronger than I often give myself credit for. I’m 4 months in and I still love my house, which is a great feeling of knowing the researching and planning were spot on and paid off. I’ve become lazier to a point, I just want to be still and relax in and enjoy my house. 🙂 I’ve connected with some really cool people in the TH community and because of my participation on the HGTV show other people have shared that my story has encouraged them in some way. It’s also really great to be able to look around and know you’ve accomplished something like this, the actual realization of a dream.

Jewels-THOW-006

What are some of the challenges associated with going tiny?

Location, location, location, finding a good location for TH parking and changing the mindset of cities to be accepting of THs. Also, a lot of things associated with TH living are new so there’s no set way or roadmap to follow so you’re figuring things out along the way and maybe making it up through trial and error. Then people can be “interesting” about THs and while they wouldn’t stop at a stranger’s “regular” house and knock on the door and ask to come in or peer through the windows, they’ll do it at a Tiny House.

Jewels-THOW-007

How long do you think you’ll live in your tiny house?

I already have ideas for different designs I’d like to build, but I see myself living here for a long time. Maybe I’ll also have a “weekender travel version TH”. Though I also see a Container Home on a beautiful island in my future. 🙂

Jewels-THOW-008

What do you think you’ll do with your tiny house if/when you grow out of it?

I think I’d have to keep it some kind of way for sentimental value, like maybe in a TH museum or something. 🙂 I don’t think I can see anyone else living in it unless of course the price is right and maybe I get visiting rights, lol!

What a great home!! I like the use of different windows, her choice of colors and decor, as well as how the space is used. The lofts look plenty big enough. In the bathroom, is that a combination washer/dryer? I’ve heard the cycle for washing can take up to four hours. Is that how yours works?

    • Alex
      September 9, 2015, 2:52 pm

Yes that’s a combo washer/dryer and I believe you’re right, Liz, the combo units take longer to wash/dry but the upside is you don’t have to move your clothes from washer to dryer 🙂

    • September 9, 2015, 5:38 pm

Thank you! Yes, it is a combo unit, but it is also vented (most aren’t) so it doesn’t take 4 hours. I like it, it’s by Splendide.

Stylish and classy house, I really like it. Especially your decor and the attached deck. Were the cabinets custom-made or did you find them ready to install? Will need to go watch the episode and see how it was done. Congrats and thanks! You’ve re-enlivened my interest in living tiny.

Jewel- I have a question: was there a reason you chose not to put the porch over the hitch? (other than it would be very hard to back up to a view of a lake) I want a similar set up, but with a permanent garden tub in that same porch area, rain-barrel fed. The best views only get better when seen while relaxing in a tub.

          September 10, 2015, 11:31 pm

A few reasons, my bathroom’s on the hitch end so it wouldn’t have made sense from a design perspective, plus i didn’t want to take space away from my trailer for the porch build so it had to be attached on the back end and the juliette balcony above the porch was meant to be accessible from my loft bedroom.

I have one – the wash cycle is the same then there’s an extra optional spin cycle at the end (adds about 5 minutes)

Drying is what takes longer because not gas but extraction & electric heating element – heavy things take forever, lighter things not so much

I have Japanese hanging dohickies that are round & have about 15 clips & hang from doorways by a thick plastic hook so no dry time required

Is there a floorplan available? I watched this episode, but I can’t remember the dimensions. I am in the process of working on the floorplan for my own THOW, but mine is a bit larger, like this one, and there aren’t that many larger ones (on wheels) to look at, so I would appreciate any other plans to compare mine to. Thanks so much!

This may be my favorite of all the tiny houses you’ve featured. I was disappointed that I couldn’t see either video without paying for them. Jewel mentioned finding a place to park her TH as a challenge, so I would like to know how she resolved that problem. I’d also love to know how much duplicating this same home using a builder might cost me!

How large would the vehicle need to be to pull this house? We have a wonderful beach lot we just purchased. We have an aging motorhome on the property right now and I would like very much to build one of these homes. The restriction states I have to be able to move it without a commercial size vehicle, it must be road ready at all times.

This is a big home, for tiny house, so I don’t see an reason why the dog is stuck in a cage under the stairs… I mean there is plenty of room for the both of them in this tiny home… People who treat their pets this way are just cruel and ignorant…..

    • Jewel Pearson
      September 9, 2015, 5:28 pm

Actually he’s a very busy puppy who was in his crate (that he happens to enjoy) while the photographer did the shoot. We both enjoy my home and don’t need your two cents. He is very well taken care of and I am neither ignorant or cruel – go have a better day!

      • Kate
        September 30, 2015, 10:42 pm

I think that you are correct in having a crate for your fur baby. I have a cat and I often confine him when there are other people in our space. He is strictly an indoor critter and I don’t want to take the chance of an escape because the door was left open too long. I like people but my 9 yr old furry boy is like a child with a hearing disability…so I take precautions for his sake.
I love your place and think it’s just lovely. And I like the idea of a ‘get-away’ place!

I am still in the early planning stages of my ‘future home.’ I am so envious of you,and your fulfilled dream and the ability to transform the wish into reality! I hope you and your ‘doggy’ many happy years in your little castle. xo

        September 10, 2017, 5:13 pm

I agree with you Jewel. Crating isn’t cruel and is necessary for their safety and well being. My dog loves hers too.

    • Diane
      September 9, 2015, 5:59 pm

Zackem, May be the person taking the pictures was scared of dogs. From someone who use to be, or may be the dog was jumping on the guest. Sometime the cage is for their protection as well everyone is not a animal lover, why did it have to be cruel & ignorant.

      • Marti
        September 9, 2015, 7:50 pm

Funny how someone who can accuse a person they know nothing about of being cruel & ignorant by viewing a single innocent photograph. Actually, it kind of has the opposite affect-shows their own ignorance and negativity. What an ego, Zackem, to make that kind of accusation against someone with absolutely no facts. Angry and bitter about your own life much?

          May 17, 2016, 8:45 am

I love her TH. I also rescue dogs, puppies from in humane, destitute situations. I also use crates. Where I have spent a lifetime loving all kinds of animals and especially dogs, I also know that as well as I treat them that there are times it is better to have them in the confines of a crate. And my three little ones think their crates are their second bed and security spot for when things are stressful like weather, too much company in our home etc. I love it that people are concerned about a pet but I am insulted and ashamed that you would pick this spot to voice such absurd opinions. This is about showing her TH, which is absolutely well planned out and beautiful execution and quite frankly the dog is where he or she needs to be while filming and people going in and out. And as a well loved companion, but still a pet, the dog, anywhere at anyone’s house need proficient confines for safety and security as yet another step in being loved. The only real concern here, which isn’t the topic would be if a person leaves their pets in the crates for long periods of time and it then becomes abusive. We don’t know this and to pick this subject out of this photo is being radical and out of line.

    • Lynne
      September 9, 2015, 6:11 pm

Please don’t denigrate someone you don’t know. It is unkind and unfair.

Her dog is in a crate, not a cage. Many people crate train their dogs – I didn’t have to, beyond the early puppy stages when they were being potty trained (I once had three at one time – now have one senior babe). However, just because I chose not to crate train my dogs, I don’t follow the line of thought that everyone has to be like me!

Most likely, she put him or her in the crate while people came in to take photos. That’s totally understandable (better that than have the dog nervous around strangers, or even, heaven forbid, accidentally gets out when somone leaves the door open). Dogs who are crate trained find their crates to be a secure place that is all their own – a place to feel safe.

If you take a moment and look at her Facebook and Instagram pages, you’ll see some videos and photos of her pooch playing and doing other lovable doggie stuff. Obviously NOT staying in the crate all the time!

    • Alex
      September 9, 2015, 6:58 pm

Zackem sounds like you’re kind of assuming the dogs there all the time. I’m sure it was just for the photo shoot so the little guy wouldn’t get stomped on on accident by the photo crew. On the contrary, she’s very caring and thoughtful to have put the pup there at that time. Geez. Lol.

    • Nancy
      September 9, 2015, 8:49 pm

I have three dogs and they love their crates. For a dog, a crate is their den or personal space. My dogs often retire to their crates during the day on their own.

    • Rhonda N
      September 9, 2015, 10:32 pm

          September 12, 2017, 7:10 am

Well put Bill. Short and sweet. I haven’t used crates myself, but I do confine my dogs to the kitchen or the garden when workmen visit. They have made their own den under my bed to hide from thunderstorms. A pair of birds I once had would fly back into their cage and sing/shout until the door was closed if I had a visitor. We lock our houses to keep others out. Clearly, a safe space with an obvious boundary is a universal need.

    • Kat
      September 10, 2015, 10:38 am

      Zackem:
It’s just a snapshot pic of one time, to show that you can have a dog in a THOW. Don’t go getting all judgey based on one pic. Jeez!

    • Kim G
      September 10, 2015, 7:40 pm

Dogs feel safe in their crates, and can spend time in there without any hurt or trauma. It would be unkind to not provide one for your indoor doggie.

    • Sassy
      September 10, 2015, 10:59 pm

You clearly didn’t watch the show. The dog is very much loved. Maybe he is in the cage because while the photographers were there she didn’t want him getting stepped on by mistake or she didn’t want someone tripping over him and getting hurt. Don’t be so quick to judge, otherwise the one who assumes another to be cruel or ignorant may just wake up to realize they are looking in the mirror. If you must make unsolicited opinions and judgements then do everyone a favor and just think them, do not post them. This page is about tiny homes and we all want to focus on the awesomeness of this one. Have a great day, and think tiny! Tiny homes that is, not tiny mindedness!

Zackem, I think you may have jumped to conclusions…I once had a dog that when strangers came over I had to contain as well. It was not cruel, it was for their and my protection, as a dog bite lawsuit, was not something I wanted.

The outside is very artistic looking which gets people curious about whether it’s as artistic looking inside. That’s why you’ve got people wanting to look inside. It’s impressive inside, too. People looking inside aren’t going to be disappointed. I picked up some good ideas for lofts and steps. Loved those steps going up to the bedroom.

Zachem, I assume the dog was in the crate to protect her from the photography crew. My herd of 4 all loved their crate (den) when they were growing up. They went there by choice when they wanted to be separate.

this is a good size tiny house and is obviously very well planned to the last inch. The decor reflects the owner, as it should. The round window is a treat. Thank to Alex and owner for sharing.

Jewel, your TH is truly a jewel!!! I love it – you’ve given me new ideas, also.

Normally, I don’t like stairs that are kind of open – like these (I ‘might’ admit to a bit of a fear of heights). But your stairs (hooray for stairs instead of ladders, btw) add to the spacious feeling in your TH.

And your kitchen… your KITCHEN!!!! I love it. I love to cook, and I would be very happy in a kitchen like this!!!

Great house – no, great home!!! Congrats on this latest success!!!

My intentions was not to harm any one with my comment… I see a cage it’s under some stairs, I stated the obvious, and nothing more.. I don’t know this woman, I have never met this woman, and I have nothing against this woman… And I resent any insinuation in which it is implied other wise… My motives where purely for the interest of and for the love for animals and only because of the dog in the photo…

Nothing more? You mentioned cruel and ignorant. That’s a lot more and goes well beyond what was obvious in the photo. Perhaps you’ve never heard of crating a dog? It’s an actual thing that is not cruel by any means. You should do some reading about it. My dogs rather enjoy their crates. They take toys in to play with and sleep in them.

    Jewel,

I love the house. It’s a masterpiece. I fell in love with it on HGTV and hope to accomplish the same thing when I begin to build my own. I’ll need that large closet too. A girls needs options, but I am downsizing bit by bit now.

    Superlatives unabated, actually
It would sound like a dating to properly describe, mz. Jewel you done the unthinkable as far as Individualism goes, there’s only two others come anywhere near the top of the pyramid. One a German product ” johnwagon” .the other an airstream. Incredible.
Thank for an option besides wood! William Hoskins.

Wow, wow and wow. I can not add more to what others have said. This is a terrific build — you did an outstanding job. I would love to see floor plans — will check out the links in the article. You seem like a truly happy person, your home resonates it and may you have many wonderful years in your terrific Thow! God bless and stay safe.

Its a really nice looking rig. I am wondering how she got it so low and is still able to be towed without hitting the ground. Does it lift some how for towing?

    • Jewel
      September 10, 2015, 9:42 am

dennis, it’s on a slight slope so the front is a lot closer to the ground than the rear due to where it’s currently parked. it’s a standard dropped axel trailer and tows normally.

Jewel’s home is just awesome!!!!! My favorite so far. I love that she has a large sofa, so it feels like she has heaps of space, even if it is actually a tiny house. I really like the gorgeous African artwork. The entire home is really beautifully designed.

do mind telling us what brand/model is your refrigerator? Is it grey and does it come in other colors ? I’m a cook . also, it looks like your kitchen and bathroom cabinetry matches the frig. Same brand? Thanks for being so kind in responding to our questions. I LOVE YOUR TH and red is my sorority color. YOU hit the nail on the head GF.

    Jewel,
Can’t give any more positive comments….all here have covered
It all…only being a slave to the dreded flat screen I’d need a place to watch some quality TV……
Q: Can the nook/Back porch be taken off to move if nessisary…? (hard to do if possible?)
I would go 2 feet wider(and pay a small permit fee) to move it if and when I had to……
Jewel…One last question….(your probably sick of all the questions)
Would you be kind enough to give us all a ballpark cost to build this fantastic TH?
I’m building a 32′ TH on a fithwheel trailer and would appreciate
a rough idea of total cost……
    Thank You for your time……

    • Jewel Pearson
      September 10, 2015, 2:56 pm

Thank you! A (small) flatscreen is on the way 🙂 The inner screens of the porch are removable as is the balcony railing and they floor & ceiling then fold up into the house for travel. Pics are on my FB page if you want to see more. Because I didn’t want to see comments similar to the above comment re: my puppy from people as they discussed whether I spent too much, too little, what they could’ve done and bought with the money I spent, etc… I decided not to share the cost. There are so many others who have shared that you should be able to compare to and ballpark it for. Thanks again!

        September 10, 2017, 5:29 pm

Jewel, I figure it’s your money, you worked hard for it, you can do whatever you want with it. It’s obvious you put a lot into it thought and money wise. There’s no law anywhere that a tiny home has to be inexpensive, minimal and sparse. It’s not for everyone. I hope you enjoy your lovely home for many years to come.

    September 10, 2015, 10:34 am

Your TH is so glam and spacious! Usually I’m not a fan of the “modern” look but this is gorgeous! I definitely would live there!! Love the idea of a larger closet and bath and kitchen are wonderful. Although I’m fighting the straight up “rectangular” look to outside design (I prefer the dormer look), I’m beginning to see the light cost-wise with your design which, of course, looks fantastic with your chosen décor. Thanks, Jewel, for the inspiration—This now seems possible!

I saw this on HGTV and really liked it. If I remember there was a nice walk-in closet off the kitchen. That being said, when are we going to see a TH that is all on one level? No steps, no ladders and with a separate bedroom. I have knee and ankle problems and aging dogs that need pampering.

    • September 22, 2016, 8:50 pm

My tiny house is on a foundation 9′ X 21′ with an L shape off main room for bathroom. But want to share that we do not have a loft and we have a bed with drawers under it, in the main room and it works out very well. You can see it on my website to get an idea how great the space fits. Hopefully it helps anyone who does not want to deal with stairs.

Hi, Jewel (and Alex). It was a real blessing to see photos of your neat place. I think the part I appreciate most is the use of windows to open things up. This has to be one of my all-time favorite THOW’s! It’s beautiful in every way. Being older, I always notice how the loft is accessed, and those stairs with railing would make me feel secure going up and down. Every detail is so well thought out, a serene, happy space in which to live.

If I say anymore, I’ll just be repeating what everyone else has said already……

This by far is the most beautiful one I have ever seen. The kitchen doesn’t show an oven only microwave. I love to cook and would put in larger stove and oven. Is their a dishwasher? I thought of instead of flood down maybe a round tabletop that could be attached with two chairs and could be removed if not needed. Postal screws into floor attach tabletop. On screen porch table could be used also same way. Maybe a portable ladder to get to reading area instead of attached bars. I couldn’t do those. You fur baby is just fine. If ever in Texas drop by.

One thing that stands out with this THOW as opposed to others I have seen, is a true sense of spaciousness. This is one that a person doesn’t get the sense of 8’6″ walls. The layout, brightness, colour, everything contribute to what appears to be very comfortable, spread out living – a total package that I can see will give long term comfort and not result in cabin fever. Bravo on this build and I hope it is enjoyed for many years to come.

Jewel – WOW – you are living MY dream!! … You’ve inspired me to make it a reality!! YOUR design is, by far, one of the nicest!! I love your decor and how you bring the outside ‘in’ with all the great windows!! I’m especially fond of the small collapsible table in the corner near the porch. I would use this as a makeshift office ? … I have a few questions: are you able to access to small balcony outside your bedroom? Is there storage behind the kitchen wall that has the mural? Are you located in the U.S.? … Thank you for sharing your THOW and for answering everyone’s questions!!!! Good luck with your website – I see it’ll be launching in about 2 hours – cool! Peace

    Hi Jewel & Alex,

First of all I wouldn’t change anything in your beautiful home. You’ve got style and really nice taste!! Your tiny home doesn’t look tiny at all. I love the fact that you use real furniture and. Not build -ins. The build-ins don’t look like they are that comfortable. I love your back splash in your kitchen. I just love all of your details you used in your home!!

Your family must be so proud of what you have accomplished!! Are you sure your old enough to have a daughter that has graduated from Harvard Law School?? Just kidding!! You must be so proud of her!! You should be a model you are just gorgeous and so young looking!!

Again thank you for sharing your lovely home with all of us. I’m working on my husband into down sizing and taking a look at these really cute tiny homes. I can’t wait to show him yours. It just might change his mind.

Enjoy your home, it’s just beautiful!! Carol Perry

Jewel, there needs to be an award for the best design and build of a TH yet and you win it hands down. I saw the TV episode you were featured on and your builder is the man I intend to contact when and if I get to do my own TH. He really paid attention to your wants and ideas instead of just taking over. The result is really wonderful. Both of you need to be very, very proud of yourselves and what you have accomplished with this.

This is gorgeous. I love the real couch. NO benches up against the wall for me. I would change one thing. I don’t see why with a limit of 13 ft on height, they cannot make the kitchen below the loft 6 and a half feet and then the loft the same, so you can stand up in the loft to dress. I will not stoop or crawl around in a loft.

    • May 16, 2016, 11:53 pm

thank you! the 13 ft is from the ground to the top of the roof. in your calculations you’re not accounting for the height of the trailer the tiny house is built on from the ground up being about 2ft, the subfloor, the ceiling/loft floor, the loft ceiling, insulation, roofing material, etc.

  • Vicki
    March 19, 2016, 10:10 pm

Jewel, I agree with every positive expression written. I especially love how sleek and modern it is. So many of the tiny houses are so primitive and rustic they remind me of our old recycling days in the early seventies….. Depressing. Could you tell me where and who built your little place? They did such a good job. Talk about thinking outside of the box. Sorry if this information was already addressed and I missed it, but if so I would appreciate a repeat. You have a lovely home. Keep enjoying it.

And, how do you go about getting internet access? I’m planning on going to grad school and I’d like to live in a TH instead of paying rent for the 4 years of school. Thanks for your thoughts. Your home feels to me like every inch of space came from deep heart-felt soulful ‘necessities’. To pare down one’s stuff to how your colors, textures, chair styles/comforts, ancestral art, light with nature’s trees is almost knowing who you are as a person. It’s akin to ‘seeing’ a beautiful symphony. What gracious joy.

I just love this “tiny home.” It is beautiful and so well put together. It looks well designed, well thought out, and most of all well constructed. I would love to know who built this beautiful home.

I, personally from experience, could not recommend anyone to buy a Lil Lodge tiny home from this manufacture in Alabama.

I can only “Good taste has the Lady”! This is a typical set-up geared to the kind of people who do not believe that in a few square meters you can have all the luxury that only industrial furniture know flaut. But my heart still beats for the mynad of Artists Artsans of Tiny House (at not only) willing guys who make body and soul their followers dreams of the great Masters such as Alvar Aalto who designed and created his works, I think the dining room of “Robie House”, where Frank Lloyd Wright where he did not use the cartridges of big industrial names to set it up he was already the Bomb!! But finally I noticed a stuffed toy or a hairy thing in the cage is a trendy sculpture “Naturalistic”? If it is so put it in the living room with the autor’s name cleary visible. OK

Oh My Goodness!!! This is one of the best thow I have ever seen! The design is sublime. All the little things that sometime irk me about many thows are missing or corrected. And beautifully, I might add. I love to cook and I can a fair amount so I love seeing a decent kitchen. The whole interior is beautifully done. The only thing I would change is the couch to brown fullgrain leather, because we have a few more fur babies(all rescues). A 14 yr old tortie point, 9 yr old pug, a 7 yr old aus.cattledogXcard.corgi(who likes to cuddle while we watch tv with his head in mine or my hubby’s lap) a 6 yr old pomeranian, a 3 yr old seal point, a 2 1/2 yr old part oriental whorled tabby, and a 1yr old husky.Only the pug, husky, and 2 younger cats like crates. My oldest cat is actually claustrophobic. My hubby would probably change the colors. He doen’t like red that much. I love anything bright or bold so the red is fine for me. Jewel, you should consider a career change to designing thows.

Jewel, You and your friends have designed the best TH layout I have seen to date. I have a degree in Architecture, and although I am not a practicing Architect, I do appreciate an efficient and affective floor plan as well as the use of natural light. The split plan, with the kitchen at one end and bathroom at the other, is exactly how it should be, imo. Except on the smaller Tiny Homes, I never quite understood entering the bath from within the kitchen. In any case, Well done! The added sunroom is a wonderful idea as well. Happy living to you.

This may be my favorite tiny house. I’ve seen it before. The owner has done such a great job with such a small space. Planning her space so carefully, there is less clutter. I love the decorative esthetic. Well done!

WOW. Almost speechless over the beauty and cleverness of this design. You had me at “screened in porch.”

    Bravo & best wishes!

I watched the show on the building of your very impressive tiny house. You had great ideas (your closet had me drooling) and it was the best build I’ve seen. My deceased father and brother built my home so I’ll never leave it, but if I did I’d use many of your ideas. It was obvious you thought things out before you jumped into the build. It looks like you closed in your porch. I remember those strong men trying to lift it for travel mode. Anyway, I love your home from the white open airiness to the huge closet to the well appointed kitchen and bath! Great job!!

looks good in the photos but then it also looks way way longer than 28 feet. Can photographers please take pictures that bear some resemblance to reality. I live in a THoW that is 12×38 and there is no way we have all the space these photos imply (permanently parked in a garden 20 years ago, the on wheels bit was/is for planning purposes, similar one level THoWs common here for this reason). Ours is bigger but doesn’t have anything like the space these photos claim for this home. As for the front loft, all I can see are 2 long rails on the wall along the back of the sofa, do you climb onto the sofa to access this loft or am I missing a ladder somewhere? Kitchen alone looks way longer than 10′ but also extremely narrow, presumably there is storage opposite the sink and work area. Unfortunately while it looks really great, though white sofa and black dog a bad mix, the photos are so misleading that this would hit my “useless, misleading, what are they trying to hide” folder very fast. It is either much longer than 28feet or the inside is much smaller than shown in the photos, and I can’t access/find any of the off mentioned videos showing the house either.

    Karen Blackburn:
Obviously you know nothing about photography and how pictures in narrow spaces depict themselves at certain angles. How can you criticize someone’s choice of pet? Oh, and as for the ladder for the other loft, if you look in the picture taken from the master loft, you will see it on the wall on the right, between the glass door and the loft! You need to go and tour a “Tiny House” in person and see what can actually be done with such a small space! You need to lighten up and go get a massage or something!

One of the most comfortable looking TH I’ve seen in my 3 years of research! Any interest in partnering on a community outside Blue Ridge, Ga.? I own 16.5 acres that is perfect!!

I see more kudos for this house than any other I’ve seen. So stylish and full of life, just like its designer. What a happy place!
