Woman Builds Tree Fort Cabin

It’s every little girls/boys dream to have a majestic tree fort right in their backyard. For Lynn Knowlton, she made that dream a reality! Lynn, an Interior Designer, lives just outside of Toronto, Canada. She had always wanted a tree fort of her own and decided one day that she was going to make her wish a reality.

Lynn built the most amazing tree house on her property using 100% recycled materials. Even the wood that was used was taken from her friend’s barn that had been knocked down by a tornado. The windows came from various locations like an old church and old houses.

The tree house comes equipped with a gorgeous porch to relax on, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom and even a big red slide! It’s able to accommodate two adults, and get this….YOU can book it for a night or two if you wish! Lynn rents her beautiful fort out to anybody wishing for a tree house adventure! Talk about exciting! Bookings to stay in Lynn’s tree house can be made on her blog or on Trip Advisor.

What a dream! I especially love the slide–that’s for me!

LOL, we have a slide exactly like that in a backyard playground that we built 30 + years ago, Got the slide & an identical shorter version from a place that sold items from dismantled municipal playgrounds. It gets mighty hot in the summer. What an ingenious use for it, now to get back up to the top. 🙂

Soooo cool! Everyone should have a tree house, especially one like this! Beautiful! Love the windows and the bar to the outside deck…

Love the sink with the back-splash and the slide. I can envision friends coming over just to use the slide. For parties, this must be a blast!

Well, I am speechless… LOL… like that ever happens 🙂 THANK YOU for featuring our treehouse. I’m über flattered and honoured that you shared the treehouse love.

We first built the treehouse for our four kiddos…then it became my blogging studio…then I thought I NEED TO SHARE THIS … so we started renting it out via my blog, AirBnB and TripAdvisor. It has been a fabulous journey of meeting strangers who become friends. xoxo

Here is the link on my blog to all the treehouse awesome sauce…

Yes,it’s a lovely home. But I don’t like all the skinny trees surrounding the home. They look like widdow makers.

There’s so much I simply adore about this build! Recycled material, slide, bar & stools, porch, the windows and more! Its so close to what I’m planning, my only hope I can do as well as this woman did. Kudos!

Now this is a tree house to be reckoned with! I don’t know which is more beautiful; the inside or the outside along with the site it’s on. I love the slide! More than enough to awaken the child within. It looks fun and also adds an important measure of safety by allowing for a really fast exit or, a faster way to leave if you’re simply in a hurry. Gorgeous.

Wow! I’d like it even if was just built on the ground but being a tree house definitely adds a lot of oomph.

Amazing! I, too, love the slide! I love the bar that opens to the outside. I love the bay window cantelevered on the side. There is nothing about this tree house that I don’t love. Thanks for making my day!
