136 Sq. Ft. Used Molecule Tiny House For Sale (Sold)

This post contains affiliate links.

I had to tell you about this used Molecule Tiny House for sale on craigslist right now. (update: sold)

It’s a Molecule Tiny Home which I personally love. The owner wants to sell it because he wants an apartment and some extra money to start a business (according to the ad).

As of now the ad says the home is one an a half years old (which sounds about right). It can be used as an RV or parked as a cabin with hook ups.

There’s also a truck (1987 GMC 3500 with 10′ load deck) available that you can buy from him to tow it with (see below).

I really like this th. The stairs are nice & love all the windows! It seems a bit pricey & I definitely wouldn’t give $10k for an ’87 truck. That aside I really like this one. Thank you Alex for providing me daily the eye candy. 🙂

Well, after seeing the next post of this one new I’m thinking the price he’s asking isn’t so bad.

The price he is asking is great. I recognized this tiny house as a Molecule home right away and if I had $20K I would have contacted him a bought it! This is a wonderful, extremely well designed house.

Call this thing what you will, but it’s still a trailer house, a single wide, a mobile home, and based upon its size, a camping trailer. Banks won’t finance it, and mortgage companies sure won’t finance it. Why? Because it has NO value, and it will depreciate more than 50% in the first 12 months. This box on wheels is a joke!

Just because it has no value to you doesn’t mean it has no value to anybody. And just because you think it’s a joke doesn’t mean it’s a joke to everybody. And this tiny home, RV, micro cabin, whatever you’d like to call it, is built of higher quality than 99% of trailers, single wides, or mobile homes out there. Do you know how many people have been negatively impacted by the mortgage crisis who have LOST their homes?

Thank you Alex for responding to this snarky remark. With an attitude like that , it’s no wonder he/she chose the name LONE Realtor.

I’d like to add as well to LR, the point here, is to NOT have a mortgage.

Sometimes I wonder about the negative comments .it seems people such as lon some realtor probably have no skills other than to put down truly talented individuals. I really enjoy this news letter and hope people don’t get discouraged from comments like his !

And we all know there are no “real” homeowners that bought a house from a realtor only to have it be worth 1/2 of what they paid a year or two later. I can imagine a realtor being negative about TH movement as there is NO $$$ in it for them for doing nothing like there has been for decades. Oh and FYI LoneRealtor no one wants a mortgage or big loan on their home that is why they are going this route. We haven’t even gotten to discussing taxes and insurance and upkeep on a “real” house. So I’ll take my chances that my $25000 TH depreciates 50% in the first year or two which I don’t think is accurate anyway. And leave the $250000 house that is also liable to be worth 50% of what it was worth a year ago to other people. I’ll take being out $12500 and with no debt over being out $125000 and under a load of debt. I guess in a realtors world where they make their money off selling homes people losing their ass on a house is more desirable then being debt free and always have a roof over your head even in a tiny one. With today’s economy and movement between jobs I would rather a house I could take to my new location over selling a home every time a job changes and giving a realtor 5-6% each time I do it! How can anyone be expected to lock themselves into 30 year mortgages when the average time spent at most jobs these days is 2-4 years? Unless you live somewhere with plenty of job opportunities that house could end up being a lead weight around your feet.

I love it, beautifully built, the only thing I would change is putting in a flush toilet where the composting one is now. Molecule does a real good job of wisely designing space in their homes on wheels to make them feel bigger.

I built my Tiny Cabin on a camper frame but I built it to construction codes, 2 x6 floor joists, 16″ on center and 2×4 walls 16″ on center, R13 insulation etc……. its built much better than a rv or a mobile home I didn’t finance mine I paid cash as I was building it and have lived mortgage free for over a year I love it, mine has a staircase, loft bed over the large kitchen with a full size fridge, and microwave, range and oven are the only rv item I used, house shower, sink, and flushing toilet, live small live smart

But it’s very hostile, I’m saying that. Lucky if you survive, but that’s not the point of the game here. You just gotta put your best face forward n see how to get that next buck! Good luck!
