Two Tiny Cabins with Land for Sale in Upstate NY

For sale: Our beloved homestead, on three comfortably remote acres of gently sloping forested land just south of Ithaca, NY – within commuting distance of Cornell and Ithaca College. Set amid beautiful 100-ft. tall red oaks with an understory of fragrant witch hazel and beech, we’ve built two charming little cabins – both under 144 square feet. One is fully insulated and finished with drywall and stained wood inside, complete with a insulated windows all around, and a miniature porch attached to a small side deck. The other is partially insulated and finished, with a 4’x4′ front porch, a 4′ deck along one side, and a 100-lb propane tank attached to a tiny propane stove and fridge. The cleared and leveled house site has an approved concrete post-and-beam foundation for a 24′ x 24′ structure with a porch extension. Infrastructure is ready to take in whatever direction you like, on or off the grid: there’s a gravel driveway, a great well with a Bison hand pump, an approved septic system, and a newly-installed electric pole at the edge of the land. The difficult foundation work for the level 24 x 24 house site has already been done and it’s ready for building to your specifications…or not! We’ve lived there happily year-round, but then we’re pretty hardy.
