Wow, lovely example of imagination and handcraft. Interesting variation on the fairly standard layout of a Gypsy wagon. The nice work brings it into the the realm of the impractical nolvelty that was designed for the well heeled who want a back yard ornament to be used as a guest cottage. I really appreciate this wagon as a piece of art more than a viable means of travel or housing. Very well thought out and built for the purpose of showcasing the builder’s skills.
I didn’t even bother to try to find the price, lol. I’m sure it’s on par with the rare metal of unobtainium.
Sure is pretty to look at.

For custom builders the price varies according to what the client wants but as a ballpark you can look at the other one shown in the next to last photo and not that it is $49,000 and is on sale for $42,000… This one is bit smaller than that one so may be selling for a bit less…

There are those who will build very basic Vardo style camper trailers for a lot less but they’re not as nice to look at and usually don’t offer all the features this one does with the multi-use spaces, kitchen, slide out patio deck, etc. but if all you’re doing is camping then they are a viable option…

If that’s what you prefer then check out Trekker Trailers, which is based in Florida… Much lower prices but still fairly good range of custom options…

“unobtainium” Beautiful! Made me spit my mouthful of coffee on my computer screen! Thanks for the morning laugh.

Concur… had a laugh. Fortunately no coffee being consumed at precisely that moment.

One of those statements I’ll file away for future use…

That is wonderfully imaginative! As Van said, it is a variation on the Gypsy vardo – and although I don’t see it as a permanent means of living, I WOULD take this to an SCA event in a heartbeat. I’m far too old to be sleeping on the ground in a tent. I’ve seen other tiny dwellings on wheels made expressly for that purpose and I love them! (I wonder if they would rent it out…?)

Actually, a variation on the Shepherd’s Hut, which is much older than the vardo.

I just LOVE this gypsy style Tiny House . . . and while I could not live in it full time . . . I can see myself parking in beautiful spots for months at a time . . . IF, I could find a convenient place to shower each day. What a delight!!

If camping, there’s portable outdoor showers you can get that would even fit into a back pack and stored away in one of those storage compartments that you can just set up, along with possibly a tent to extend the available space…

On the low end there’s solar thermal bags that can get plenty warm after a few hours in the sun and can be just hung up for instant shower spot… There’s portable tanks with air compression to pressurize water without needing a pump… And they even sell portable on-demand hot water heaters that can run off even a small hand held size propane tank that you would otherwise use for a portable camping stove…

While lots of people make use of gym membership at a national chain so they can shower wherever they go by just finding a local branch of the gym…

First let me thank all of you for such kind comments on my Woolywagons. Thank you so much. The Vardo porch doubles as a shower the floor is like a truck bed liner complete with drain to a grey water holding tank, hot and cold water and hand held shower is accessible on the porch and it also can double for use as an outdoor kitchen sink use. optional is four season panels you can add or simply draw a curtain photos do not show curtain wire for hanging curtain s for the shower but maybe your out in the wilderness and a curtain isn’t necessary.😀 Thanks again from me the creator of Woolywagons(tm)

What is the roofing material and where do you get it?

    • James D.
      August 18, 2017, 4:17 pm

They use metal roofing, 26 or 29 gauge… Various color options and they obviously can be creative on how it’s laid out so it looks more like roof tiles…

    • September 12, 2017, 3:02 am

We can build bigger we are custom builders

      • July 2, 2023, 10:58 pm

As I am designing remakes of the Incred-I-Box 20′, I am wondering if you would consider a Grab-And-Go off their lot and doing a facade remodel in your style. I know there would only be a couple hundred thousand buyers the first week, but still?

This is seriously adorable, like something out of a fairy tale! How fun this would be to stay in on vacation, I would absolutely love it. Great work!

If this were to be expanded into an actual Tiny House of decent size, with a full bathroom and living area…I’d buy it in a second, no question. This is just exquisite. My dream come true!

    …Tasty Playful….

    August 21, 2017, 1:05 pm

    Utterly charming!

I’m a bit mystified by some of the other comments that express a desire for it to be bigger, though. What part of “tiny” house do they not understand? Sure, you could make an enormous, three-axle version, but charm and coziness doesn’t scale up!

    • James D.
      August 21, 2017, 4:38 pm

Well Eric Elliott, there’s tiny and then there’s micro ;-p

Generally, people wanting to go tiny don’t quite want to go to the extreme of a micro-home that’s well under 100 sq ft… Rather, most prefer something 150 to 400 sq ft, with some even going to 500 sq ft before opting instead for small homes 600-1200 sq ft…

The builder of this camper also doesn’t quantify this as a Tiny House but a camper, however, they do make Tiny Houses too and could probably make one to look just like this if anyone wanted…

Distinction, besides dropping below 100 sq ft, is that micro starts to eliminate features we associate with a house… Like this has no bathroom, just a Porta-Potti stored in one of the bench seat storage spaces. So this has no shower.

Though, this does overlap with people living in similar size structures, such as van dwellers. So it’s not to say no one can live in this but most people are looking for a bit more when they say they’re looking for a Tiny House and doesn’t mean they have to go to the opposite extreme of triple axle THOWs as there’s plenty in between that fits many…

Another great Idea. As we are seniors a few extra feet is needed but overall a great package AND very small unit towing vehicle needed…Looks are in the top 1%, function as a Vardo for the younger set is about perfect, pricey but perfect. By the time this builder gets the needed accessories for seniors installed the price would be at least $70K…I am SOOOO Stealing the pocket porch Idea, Almost better than the fold up. Many Ideas will migrate to less expensive craftsmen(as it should be) and if franchised to a larger factory the costs could easily be reduced by half. The main costs is in the one off by hand construction and with the advent of assembly line the costs could go down with each unit…But then we know THAT can never happen as factories like to build what factory OWNERS want built…The paradigm shift has happened, the wealthy just can not see it…

I am in love with this one. Have to agree with a few comments that a little bigger with a couple of (at my age) necessities, like a kitchen and bathroom. The craftsmanship and imagination are unbeatable.

The uncanny bizarre happiness is a step away from here, while from a radio I reach the notes of “Blueberry Hill” by Fats Domino. But is strange, and also beautiful.

I would like to see that picture also. Best I can tell the stray picture of the cabinet with the blue shelves to each side probably are on that side. Not
very deep but would work for small pantry. Clothes or cooler would go in other bench seat I guess. I did find a picture of the kitchenette on the web site. It was under tiny houses at the bottom. Nice details on these!

Wonderful. What fun this would be to just show it off.
Great use of space, still seems roomy enough inside to not get claustrophobic.
A pickup decked out to match the camper somehow could have a nice bathroom and shower in a shell on the pickup for us oldies.

Is it possible to leave out the benches, drop the bed platform down leaving enough room to slide a trundle bed under it. Put a kitchen on the platform complete with a tiny wood stove on the counter top. build a short cupboard for the port a potty? Also, what is the length, width and weight of this cottage?

I would love this for a mobile bakery and Coffee shop. I would not bake anything in this little house obvs but just use it to serve light refreshments. This is adorable!
