Treetop Tiny Houses with Private Skatepark

This post contains affiliate links.

If you absolutely love tiny houses, tree houses, cabins, forts, and skateboarding or BMX’ing then you’re in for a real treat right now because here are a couple of tiny houses up in the tree tops with a personal skatepark right on the property. This place is called The Cinder Cone.

It consists of two main treehouse cabins which connect to each other with a bridge. Everything is custom designed and built for the property. Below, and directly in view from the treetop cabins, is where the private skatepark is located. This is definitely the dream life for any pro skateboarder or BMX person.

And did I mention the treetop deck with the hot tub? Yeah! And the views are stunning too. This is a really amazing property and I want to thank one of our amazing readers, Nick Smith, for sharing. To me this property in inspiring. What does your dream tiny house, cabin, and ‘estate’ look like? If you’d like to please share in the comments. Either way, please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you.

I see the interior of the lower house but what is the upper house, is that for guests? I only see the outside of the upper structure lit up.

That is exactly what I thought when I saw this!

As an Architect, this is one very inventive and “totally rad” place! I can see my youngest son and his mates staying here.

As a Mum, I *gasped* at the included shot of a sink area completely over-brimming with dirty dishes and an empty Fairy Washing Up bottle.

I’m not exactly sure what that included photo is supposed to convey: “I’m too kool for skool & a tidy up?” (scratching my Mum head, over and over) LOL

I’m not an Architect but your comment reflects my thoughts exactly. 🙂

It took me a few minutes, but I think the dry-heaves have ceased after seeing the filthy sink!!! That was disgusting, although it looks like a perfectly lovely place to stay/live, I suppose dishes aren’t a priority here… not even for photos that will live forever.

“HELLO & THANK YOU, jannezack!” regarding the filthy sink!

I mean, these photos of the treehouse weren’t Cyber Attacked and the hacker downloaded all these ~hush-hush~ photos. They CHOSE to include that filthy sink shot…to what avail, I haven’t a Scooby! Might as well have included the over-flowing trash bin as you ‘know’ that that was part of this holiday, too! Grrrr-oss!

I’m wondering how they heat that hot tub. I see a contraption but can’t make out what it is? I’m planning on moving my hot tub to my tiny house when it’s ready this summer, but I’m afraid it’s going to take a lot of electricity to fire it up…

My bet is it is wood fired, see the stove pipe?
I’m with you Cahow, no picture of the dirty dishes! What are they thinkin’!

Those kind of hot tubs are wood burning no electricity needed, it’s for off grid living or to just have a nice hot tub without using electricity.

Awesome and creative, I agree ! Easy to do that with enough money! 🙂 ever see the costs of those tree houses on Tree House Masters? This is not for Tiny House budgets but still interesting to see…

Tree houses, in and of themselves, don’t necessarily mean “over indulged” kids… but you add the skate park, (big bucks), and the sink full of dirty dishes, (a clear indication that someone is used to having someone else clean up after them), well, the evidence is pretty compelling.
It doesn’t take CSI to read this one!
Still, I could be wrong. It could be a colony of twenty-something pro skateboarders with lots of product endorsements! Must be nice to have money to burn!!

I want to rent this!!! I live in the area and I’m curious if the owners ever rent it out to families who love to skate and bike and be outdoors with their kids?!?

PLEASE!!!! I’ll do your dishes 🙂

The tree house is awesome. Congrats to the person that designed it. And shut up about the dirty dishes, who cares. It’s called life.

It’s in a “valley near the Columbia River Gorge in Skamania Washington” according to their website.

surprise : in france, we do things like that but we take care of the trees : we don’t touch the wood we use a belt round the tree… better than holes in the wood who kill the tree rapidely….
for the dishes bof it is not enough important than to boilt water with a lot of electricity but may be the heating come from the sun (sunheating and photovoltaic electricity i HOPE
    french regards

courdent — I agree about not harming the trees, because that shortens the usefulness of these structures.
I lived in a wilderness situation for a couple of months and the way dishes and utensils were sterilized was with bleach: a solution of two tablespoons bleach in a quart spray bottle was used. Wet a cloth with the bleach solution, wipe down everything being washed until there are no particles, spray on more bleach solution, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse with a spray bottle containing clear water and wipe with a no-bleach cloth, let dishes air dry overnight so bleach will evaporate. White vinegar an also be used in a stronger solution for people who have a reaction to bleach.

Are you naked cleaning with all that bleach? My husband uses bleach and every shirt he owns has some white spots from bleach (or pink on black clothing) . Oh, and mst of my dish towels are pretty ratty as well.

These comments crack me up,,, we start by comments on the dishes,, not the structures, and end by bleaching their dishes,,,, LOL,,,, this is a rich fun family, I would rather have a pool in that area, but you cannot skate in a pool,,,, but kids could be out walking and exploring, instead of importing a skate park,,, but never the less, this whole thing makes me shake,, that height, please no small children to chance a fall ,,, it would kill them.
Have fun in your dream tree homes~~!!!

Stunningly sweet structures, views and location, who cares about the dishes (I think that was included as a chuckle), but what about the weight of not one but two hot tubs up in the trees???!! I like that the one is obviously heated by the nearby woodstove… feel sorry for the lone guy in the far tub who had to walk the plank to get there…??? Would like to see more of the interior design! Is there a generator? Must be, for all those lights…???

Hello, I was just wondering if the official name of this is the Insane Treetop Cabin or if that was just what it is referred to as in today’s newsletter. Just thought that was a little ableist considering your readership does include people with mental illness. I can’t speak for everyone but it did hit a nerve with me personally. (If you disagree, try substituting ‘insane’ for ‘spastic’ or ‘retarded’ and see if it sounds as good!) Thanks.

The sinks show there is a kitchen(ette) and that this is a well lived-in place but, yikes! Love the idea of the wood-heated hot tub. This is a “millinial’s” paradise. 🙂

Absolutely, love it. Dishes in the sink….part of life, and time marches on…however, the photo is saying someone lived in this tree and forgot to do the dishes.

Hopefully the dishes were for humor but the problem is it distracted from the creativity in this project. Not my taste at age 70 but it’s interesting in what housing means today to millenials. A dream to some I am certain

Haha…when I saw the dirty dishes, I knew this place was real and not some sort of advertisement. My two sons lived on skateboards when they were young and growing up, and I remember how their rooms always looked, except on Thursdays, our family clean up day. Then they had to make it spotless so they could start all over ignoring it again. Clean clothes or clean dishes were not a priority for them, only getting outside and rolling…movement of any kind. It is not surprising to me that my youngest son became a roller hockey and ice hockey goalie at age 13, and is now as an adult (23) is both a hockey goalie for the city league on which he plays and a referee of other city league games . I remember him going door to door at 8 years old selling candy bars to raise money for a skate board and later new parts. He simply told people, “I am a kid, and this is the only way I can make my own money”. They sold like hot cakes! He also bought his own BMX bike the same way a couple years later. So my heart was touched by the dirty dishes in the sink. Thanks for including that shot…(sniff, sniff)
