Couple Builds Topanga Tiny Cabin Retreat

It all started when this couple visited a friends tiny cabin in Topanga Canyon when they instantly fell in love with the environment.

And since there were already a bunch of cabins on the property but none available to rent or buy so they spoke with the owner for options.

The owner encouraged them to build their own place using his materials so that’s what they did with the help of Serena Mitnik-Miller and Mason St. Peter.

No permits obvi so good luck with an occupancy permit. Basically can use as a tree fort. Impossible to build in Topanga, those days are long gone.

Wonderful! Site and climate specific of course which is as it should be. Has it survived fires so far? An acceptable risk I suppose.

simple little trick for night crawling slithering little pests on the way to the potty dearhearts……. string some tiny bells on strings that will blow in the wind, it will be little pleasant for you but the movement and sound should keep the critters at bay. Just make sure you don’t get the bells too tiny you don’t want to “attract” them hehehehe. moving objects that cause them troubles help keep them away from you. could string a row of led lights on the path and hang some bells in between the lights, then you can see as well as frighten them away:) Know you are all loved in the body of Christ! be safe!
