Tiny Treehouse Overlooking San Francisco Bay

If you are looking to take a creative tiny house vacation in the San Francisco Bay area I think you’re going to love this tiny treehouse cottage.

When you drive up to the property and park your car you’ll see there is a small cottage on the ground level and that’s where the kitchen and bathroom are located.

Take a short walk up and go up the stairs surrounded by lush greens and wild flowers to the charming tiny treehouse that’s 30 ft up in a 150 year old oak tree.

The owners originally built the treehouse 18 years ago for their children. Now they rent it out to guests using Airbnb.

From the deck you can enjoy the San Francisco Bay sunsets from the tree tops.

Now -that- is a treehouse worthy of the name – love that there are living branches twining through the inside.

Not so fond of having to haul myself – possibly through rain and weather – to eat or use the bathroom, though.

So much fun that tree houses are now more for adults! This is the ultimate fantasy, to have a treehouse, that is functional, and for living! I fear, that they are hard to find places to build, like the tiny house issue. Cities are too snooty about the permits and rules. Just imagine, an entire treehouse community! The Treehouse guy on TV, uses special bolts, to not harm the tree, and has many terrific ideas. I would love one, but could not decide on the style!!

Hey, does anybody know of a really good book that describes how to structurally frame around tree parts, i.e., something that is moving and growing. Thanks !

Looks like we have the correct tree just needs more time to mature.
