I have goosebumps all over my body! This is astonishing. This is wonderful. Unanimous! Holy crap!

Seriously, I’m ready to get my gooseneck trailer and get going. I now have a place to live! This needs to be spread ALL OVER ESPECIALLY ON THOSE TV SHOWS RE: TINY HOMES. MAIN STREAM MEDIA NEEDS TO HAVE THIS.
To all of you unknown wonderful people who did the incredible amount of work this took, I give you all my gratitude and well wishes. I did some real estate law back in the day and you’ve moved mountains to get this approved. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Also look into the 2018 ICC IRC, which establishes the recognition of tiny houses on foundations that are 400 Sq Ft and under, along with Appendix Q, which provides the legal language/framework for applying for a non-traditional housing option to be recognized as a legal residence and this can include Tiny Houses on Wheels.

Multiple states have already adopted the update and states like Oregon are pushing through legislation to add Tiny Houses to the local building codes… All very similar to what we are seeing happening in El Paso County, CO…

Along with certain counties in Texas are showing the most progress towards legalizing Tiny Houses and other alternatives…

While we’re seeing wider acceptance of alternatives for at least options for homeless and those most in need in more than a dozen states across the country.

But still a long road ahead to full acceptance and many places that will still pose significant resistance.

So much still needs to change but these wins should definitely make it increasingly easier going forward…

Hmm, there has been remarkably little to nothing mentioned on the news over the past week… Seems we will have to start spreading the word ourselves.

Like there’s insurance companies now covering Tiny Houses, more banks are starting to offer loan options, El Paso was just the latest place to start making these changes but few people even know what they did… I’ve responded to people on youtube that still think the only thing happening is all options are being blocked and that all alternatives are becoming illegal…

Definitely can’t let that trend of one sided misinformation continue…

I am so excited that state & local governments are beginning to see the light on tiny homes. So many places will eventually open up for people to have a home & live safely & economically. Seniors are stoked!!! Have been following the movement & looking for just the right tiny home for a time as before too long will need to change living arrangements. Am “dreaming” tiny homes even. This is grand news! El Paso county rocks!
