Tiny House Vacation in a Tiny Shantyboat in Deland, FL

I’m happy that Michael Bowman is sharing his tiny house vacation experience in his tiny shantyboat in Deland, FL’s historic waters of St. John’s River.

It’s a motor-powered micro houseboat! It has a 9.8hp engine that’s super fuel efficient. And in the area you can see various wilflife like manatees, bald eagles, and even alligators.

The little boat cabin can sleep up to three people. There’s a kitchenette inside plus a port-a-potty but there’s no shower. It sounds like a really fun adventure to me that I’ll probably take advantage of someday. Please enjoy and re-share this tiny shantyboat experience below. Thank you!

    OMG! I’m getting a divorce NOW! I absolutely cannot believe how so, so cool this TB (tiny boat) is! I could spend the rest of my days blissfully putting up & down the St. Johns or even tied up to a dock somewhere close.

    We recently down-sized from a 3,000 SF home on 10 acres. We’re now in a 700 SF apartment & it’s driving me crazy! Spouse has TWO storage units full of crap we haven’t used in 5 (or more) years, plus a full garage. I personally moved from Las Vegas to our current location with everything I could pack into a 1991 Toyota Corolla.

    Think it’s time I read Michael’s book.

    i had the pleasure a few days & nights on Michael boat Talisa
    I’ve lived in Florida for 28 year and never had such a good time as i did aboard Talise

    The boat is amazing and the St John’s river is so beautiful
    Spending a few night sleeping a on shanty boat on the river should be on every ones bucket list … call Michael and enjoy the true Florida
