I saw this on Youtube. I loved it then and I love it now. Yes James this is giving me ideas for my train and a Gooseneck tiny. Might work.

    Nice but VERY pricey!

I love it. So many Tiny Homes have limited storage. This one has plenty. That kitchen is ideal and all the cabinets and storage are absolutely mandatory. I love the cool bathtub/shower capability. It’s been the poor kitchen layouts that has held us back. We downsized once going into retirement but I can see us in this THOW.

I don’t see a place for my 50 gallon aquarium, but it is pretty nice. Just kidding! It’s fabulous. I am wondering if a smart car would fit inside – instead of the off-road vehicle. I love this tiny house, albeit too costly for me.

It might. My concern is the same with either though. Vehicles are messy and stink. Rubber smell from tires, whatever you’ve driven through tracking in, the smell and spillage/leakage of gas, oil, and coolant. Yes, even brand new and well maintained vehicles. Not something I want in my home. I’d rather have a motor home with similar features and tow my toy. Add the cost of a proper tow vehicle to this trailer and the motor home would be cheaper.

I was impressed they put an actual garage in, just not impressed that it turns out to be the main living space. Kept expecting him to point out the function of the ramp as a deck. Guess they didn’t think of that and set it up so it could be supported level and add a retracting screen wall and awning. Lots of other good ideas and pretty well laid out though.

“Vehicles are messy and stink” You’re thinking of combustion engine vehicles, but I wouldn’t imagine you do that – with this kind of house all the less. Think of electric car, and almost all your worries are gone (except “whatever you’ve driven through tracking in” 🙂

I agree David. I would use a elf 2fr which would go with a tiny home quite well. Be good for local runs and would be a lot of fun.

I agree that a four wheeler would need to be cleaned to be welcome in a living room, the biggest downside to a Motorized RV is the idea of paying insurance for a vehicle that might not be used frequently…for a HOME, it is the idea of having to tow another vehicle or store it. This is an amazing HOME FLOORPLAN regardless of the TOY HAULER aspect. The ELEVATOR bed is common in RVs but rare in Tiny Homes, and to me they are SO much better than a LOFT bedroom.

Just to confirm, a quick look at the numbers confirm my guess. A Smart Car (coupe model) is almost identical weight and dimensions to a side by side UTV similar to the one shown so that could work. Would have to know exactly what kind of weight and dimensions the trailer and ramp were designed for of course for any specific vehicle to be carried.

I love the toy hauler option!
Why so many cabinets? With limited space I would remove the counter that sticks out and the upper kitchen cabinets.

Nope. No vehicles in my tiny house!!😔

    • Eric
      July 30, 2017, 7:45 am

It is ONLY for transporting said vehicle from one place to another instead of having to have someone else drive it separate from the house. Probably would use a commercial vehicle for the goose neck transportation and packing the car into the back makes eminent sense. Well, does to me.

This is brilliant. I don’t think he mentioned the square footage, but this looks huge. I’ve never seen a tiny house with a separate bathroom and toilet before. The slide out for the bedroom is a great idea to create some extra space.

Can this be towed by a regular truck or do you need to hire someone?

    • Tom Osterdock
      July 16, 2017, 10:29 am

As long as the truck can transport the weight of the trailer and has the 5th wheel receiver in the bed of the truck it can be towed by anyone. The truck dealership can direct you in having the receiver installed in the truck and all electrical hookups for it.

    • July 18, 2017, 1:28 pm

Hi Joe, this can be towed with your own truck, no special permits required. We are a certified travel trailer manufacturer and all of our tiny houses are built per the RV codes and regulations so no need to hire special transportation.

Close to perfect. I like the garage but would use the ramp as a living room extension making a balcony. Slide out in the bedroom has limited headroom. Bathroom is perfect especially the sunken bathtub which you don’t need everyday. Lots of storage cabinet.
Curved roof is gorgeous but from bow to stern it would provide less wind resistance as the semi rounded front end.
    Well done.

Great use of space, really like the split bath, sink and shower. All the house and a garage door too. Thanks for the view.

Within a year I will be moving to Ca and would like something similar to the above parked on my daughter’s property. I like the layout of the above but find it too costly for me.

This looks fascinating. What are the differences between this and a 5th wheel toy hauler RV?

My guess is, this is heavier and not designed for frequent moves, is that accurate? How would it hold up being moved 4-5 times year for 5-10 years?

      John,
Thank you for your questions. We would love to answer your questions for you!
A standard 5th Wheel RV is built using 1 x framing. Ours is built using 2×4 framing thus it makes it much sturdier and better insulated. We also have the ability to customize interiors and make the more home like.
This unit is 11,700 lbs dry. It can be moved as many time as you would like to move it as it is an RV and designed for road use.
Please contact us with any further questions. 208-468-0576

Tiny Houses can easily get prohibitively heavy but there are options to build with lighter weight materials and use of more efficient construction standards, along with minimizing what you finally put into the house for the final total weight.

11,700 lbs dry is pretty low for a THOW this size, as I’ve seen THOWs this size pushing over 19,000 lbs.

Final weight, though, might still make that more than a few thousand pounds heavier with everything you can possibly put into this THOW…

While it really depends on what you intend to tow it with as to how easily and how often you can tow it… Even RV’s aren’t always easy to tow everywhere or that often if you don’t have an adequately powerful enough vehicle to tow it with…

  • October 13, 2017, 8:11 pm

We’ve been inside this THOW, and it really is very nice. I love all the cabinets, and the slide out makes the bedroom feel huge. The closet in the bedroom is also great size.

We didn’t really understand the purpose of the wooden slat raised shower floor, but it looked nice.

    • October 16, 2017, 12:07 pm

Hi Diane, I am glad you got to walk through our tiny house. In this unit we decided to do a residential drop in tub as a lot of people prefer tubs over showers. The reason for the teak floor covering the tub is to be able to just walk in and take a shower without going down in the tub or if you want to take a bath you just lift the floor and you got the tub all to yourself – so it kind of serves the best of the two worlds.
On the other hand, we had a few people telling us they are really tall and they always have a problem fitting into a tiny house shower – well, this solves that problem as well.

I’ve been inside this one as well. It is quite nice, very livable. The wooden shower floor hides a tub.
The new price isn’t bad for a THOW this size with all these features.
It would be on my top ten list, but I’m not a fan of slide outs.

This is of many examples of “Big Tiny House on Wheels”, confortable and functional in all its parts.
