I love his comment at the end – “your hands are good tools” – right on!

I’m very interested in this process as we re-home the homeless. But, a bathroom facility in the home is usually a must. Closet (even a small one is a must). I’d like to know how you manage your kitchen storage, and cooking chores. Thank you for the video, and I think you’re both awesome.

I am disabled and rely on help from my county to live in a apartment. One of these timy house’s would help me not be dependent on temporary rental assistance. I wouldn’t have to worry every year that the program will be dropped or stopped. I would own something of my own. But I’m not even sure my town would allow one of these. Oh how great it would be, if only.

Start organizing your own Tiny House lobby in your town. If we get enough people to do this, over time it will all link up and Tiny Housers won’t have to go through the worry that if they build they won’t be able to park. We need people to get involved; wishing just won’t git-er-done.

Nice start but this is a halfway experiment… You still have the main house for bathroom use and his bedroom for clothes storage.

It is more if a at ise than s tiny house. Do you cook in the Mai. House and use their tap water and electricity also?

Always nice to see people starting journeys to explore downsizing. Good luck

Bravo! I totally agree with them: to each their own. Do what is right for you! Life has no perimeters. People can’t worry about what others think about them. What matters is if we are being true to ourselves. Technically, there is no “right” way to live your life-only what feels right to you. Just because someone has some made-up ideas of what is an “adult life”, “tiny house living”, “living simply”, “being independent”, etc, doesn’t mean we all have to follow their “rules”. The beauty of it is that we each get to make up how we live our own lives! To each their own Amazing, Beautiful, Joyful Life! 🙂 Enjoy the the ride. 😉

I played around with re-purposing a shed here into a temporary Tiny House about 10 years ago. Sadly, I didn’t do it. Think of all the money I could have saved all these years…. but at least I’m finally building one. 🙂

I love this! My fiancé and I are buying 5 acres of land this summer. We plan on converting a TUFF Shed into a home as well. Tiny house living is truly amazing, no matter what the reason is for it. For us, it is helping preserve the environment and simplifying life. The fact that we will be making our dream come true in a little over 4 months is invigorating! I wish we could have seen more of the house in the video, just for some ideas.

Having been in the portable building business, as an onsite builder, I would never own a tuff shed. Well enough made but very questionable sales practices.

That said, I have lived in a 12×24 storage building. Once I finally finished it, I had running water, a functional kitchen, and a 3/4 bath. Aaand just as I finished it I had to move across the state. Now I’m living in an old fema travel trailer. Has all the basic amenities and I’m pretty happy with it. These buildings can be finished out to whatever degree you want, just get a realistic size, look at lots of floor plans and do what you can live with. Spend your money on the interior though, that’s where you’ll spend your time. Make it nice.
