I love the poster! Matter of fact, I love the photographs of the Tumbleweed houses as well. When I bought The Small House Book by Jay Shafer, I was overwhelmed by the beautiful pictures. They are done so artistically that I would love to have them hanging in my own home. Keep up the good work, Jay! Thanks Alex for Tiny House Talk and keeping us informed.

I understand the need to ‘pare it down’, getting away from conspicuous consumption and all. Having moved a few times, with every pack up, I send more to the thrift store and keep only that which I truly use or REALLY like. The real issue is to surround yourself with LESS, but to carefully choose that which you DO allow into your home-and your life. Art enhances our lives and adds that personal touch. I know when I build my own tiny home, I will definitely leave room for a few cherished pieces that give me pleasure just looking at them, whether they bring back childhood memories or instill a sense of serenity. Whatever speaks to you. It’s all about quality, not quantity.
