Love the tub! Is there any information anywhere about it? Or does anyone have any insights to share? 🙂

I have some experience with similar wooden Japanese four (soaking) tubs. The bad thing about wooden tubs is that eventually the finish on them wears off and they don’t dry out between uses; then the wood gets soggy, and feels slimy.

Like most things you just have to take care of it and re-apply the finish every so often… Same thing with wooden counter tops, outdoor furniture, etc.

Properly taken care of they can last centuries… Don’t and you’d need to replace it within a few years…

“Non si volti chi a stella è fisso”, by Leonardo da Vinci translated is:
“Whoever look at a star, does not to look away from it”, as for those who pursue an ideal and I believe that also the target of happiness goes along in a road, all constructive, of freedom. Not simple but for this endearing as a challenge.

LOOOOVE the house (and don’t try to sound intellectual).
The entire design is outstanding, one of the best I’ve seen (and I’ve seen almost all it seems).
The space waste is a pity of course, but that comes often with beautiful designs, doesn’t it?

It’s only wasted space if it doesn’t get used or otherwise serves no purpose but that isn’t the case with this house… Everything is as the owner wanted it to fit their lifestyle…

I want to see the roof deck and the entrance to it. More info in the description would be nice. Other wise neat looking tiny.

They show the entrance to the roof deck, it’s the photo just before they show the exterior shots again…

The tiny door leads to the loft and the awning is composed of two sections that can fold down flat to either side to leave that deck open to the sky and allow them to be road legal for moving… The deck also has a ladder they can roll down the side to get in and out that way as well…

I like the secret deck. Maybe the owners like to sunbathe in the nude? The exterior, as a whole, looks kind of spaceshippy.
