This is the Tiny House on a Christmas Tree Farm in Manvel, Texas.
The adorable tiny build has a couch that rolls out into our downstairs bed (perfect!), a well-stocked kitchen, and a comfortable bathroom. The best part, I think, has to be the pond-front view! The interior is rustic and quaint and I’d love to stay the night. Good news? You can! It’s a vacation rental on Airbnb.

We call our rustic tiny house “Lone Star”. It has everything you need in a very compact space with a Texas flair. The tiny house is built on an 8′ x 18′ trailer, and care has been taken to use non-toxic materials in its construction. The raised kitchen conceals a full-size bed, and the foot of the bed doubles as your sofa. At bedtime, just pull the handle on the front of the sofa, and pull out your bed. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, toaster oven, and microwave, along with cookware, dishes, and utensils. Holiday Acres is a bustling choose and cut Christmas tree farm during the Christmas season, but the rest of the year it’s a peaceful place to relax.

One of the essentials of Tiny House design is to make the most efficient use of space. If wall surfaces are part of the efficiency formula, then why do tiny and small house designers always insist on putting a window above the sink? Are new-age designers “trapped” into using traditional design conventions? This question is especially important when designing a small house that includes an automatic dishwasher.
Maybe it is time for small and tiny dwelling designers to re-think some out-dated design theories.

In a tiny house, windows keep it from being claustrophobic. I couldn’t stand to work in a windowless kitchen, and love to look out my kitchen window at the woods, birds, squirrels, etc.
I agree that designers should not get stuck with traditional conventions. But I love all the windows–they make the space feel open. I, personally, want a window over my sink. I would choose windows over storage.
It’s human engineering… They’re designing something that has to feel like a home, not like a prison!
Besides, Windows also help provide ventilation and a view of the outside that can be useful for a number of reasons… Window sills can also be useful…
People also lean forward over their sinks when using it, which a cabinet would get in the way of…
Just curious if you’ve done very many dishes in your days? There truly are things us “Older People” got Right. The main reasons for a window over the kitchen sink was for ventilation, to watch our children while they were OUTSIDE playing and then it’s just plain Nice to be able to enjoy the sights and smells of the fresh outdoors! It’s sad to think the younger generations don’t “need” any of it anymore. Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays.
I can see our goats/ducks/chickens from our kitchen window and it truly is a joy.
Very nice. I would however move that magnetic knife strip from above…..experience only…knives do fall occasionally.

Love the corrugated metal showers, but found down here in the tropics it was a great place for spiders to hide out. So we went with the smooth metal shower wall.
