Tiny House Furniture #5–Simple Stackable Desk

This post contains affiliate links.

This desk is small, sleek and stack-able.

The idea is that since the desk is small you won’t find a lot of things to put on it. And if needed all the pieces can be stacked away in one simple location.

Like the piece that holds your monitor, keyboard, printer, etc.

This beautiful desk is made by Heckler Design and is sure to inspire you.

Super-cool and space-saving home office design! Great for tiny and small homes or bedrooms.

Simple Stack Desk Heckler DesignThe space saving design allows your office to expand out when you need it, and contract in when you don’t!

Very nice. If you can live without the curves, it’s very doable as a wood DIY project.

    Thanks Alex and Davidrc!
But Davidrc, can you really think you could live without the curves?

Sure. There are techniques for plywood bending but I don’t know them. I could do it in metal, not tooled for it. Working with what I have and know.

I knew your were ragging, difficult to put put tones in these things. Still in the plotting and planning stage so it’ll be awhile. And yes, I’d noted the bends and the stiffening brace, as I’ve noted in other comments, here and there, if I can see a thing I can build a reasonable version of it. Though the first one may not be the prettiest ever seen.

Davidrc, I was just teasing you. I’d like to see the results of your DIY. Perhaps a routed 3/4″ radius on the corners. I recommend some steel brackets underneath to support the corners as this design can put a lot of leverage on the corners, hence the large radius and steel brackets in OneLessDesk’s design.
