Tiny Cottage in Asheville

This post contains affiliate links.

If you’re ever looking for a cozy vacation in the woods of Asheville, check out this tiny cottage.

On the outside, you’ll see a cream-colored board and batten house with a lovely front porch area. The home is nestled in the trees.

When you go inside the first floor, you’ll find the bright and airy main living space that includes a couch and sitting chair on one end and a lovely kitchen on the other with white bead-boarded cabinetry, a stove and a refrigerator. A small table with blue chairs sits between the two spaces. The large master bedroom has calming yellow walls and a beautiful queen bed (you’ll notice fresh linens sitting on the bed). Off in one nook is a modern-looking desk space. Enter the bathroom and you’ll be surrounded by chic grey tiles and a large tiled stand-up shower. Step out the backdoor and you’ll be on a brick patio that includes a small table and chairs for romantic dinners looking out on the Asheville landscape.

Adorable! And looks like some one put a lot of care into the design and decor. Two bedrooms! Big plus in my book. And a handicapped access shower—about perfect for me!

There is only one bedroom…not sure why they list it as a “master bedroom”…

Probably because a single bedroom becomes the master bedroom by default?? !!!!

I believe most of these postings are for inspiration and to see whats possible. Usually if the house is for sale there is a link to Zillow under the last picture, or if you like there is a WS http://tinyhouselistings.com/listings/
that has many THOW for sale. Google TH builders and there is even more info:) Good luck to you.

I would love this place.. I live in Michigan and I do not think they allow anything like this.. how much sq footage is there? These places would be perfect for seniors. And how much do they run in price?
Thanks in advance for any information on them

I have been interested in the tiny houses since I heard about them & now HGTV has shows, as well as, FYI, love the shows. Have been picking out things I’d want installed, mentally, solar, rain water, commode, Kitchenette. Loft for storage only. I’m in my late 60s, shouldn’t climb a latter. All on main floor. Tiny houses maybe too tiny. Was thinking of 300-500 sq. ft.
    Sincerely,
    June Hicks

A-ha. I had some trouble figuring the place out, but now I get it.
The building is actually TWO tiny cottages. You get into the upper level through the front door, and the lower level through the French doors next to the deck.

And the owners live in the green tiny house behind the back yard? That looks like and even cooler house.

If you’ve never been to Asheville, NC – you need to go. It’s a fabulous city – eclectic, homey, natural – everything good combined in one. Many northerners move to Asheville because of the less harsh winters and gorgeous fall colors of the fall season and beautiful summers. There are many flea markets, farmers markets, outdoor activities, concerts and more to appeal to everyone. It’s stunning and the people are warm and congenial. Stay in a tiny house Airbnb and visit.
