Tiny Cottage in Asheville Forest

Tiny homes come in all shapes and sizes, but sometimes the best way to describe one is “cute.” This is a tiny and adorable cottage in the Asheville Forest.

Outside, you’ll notice a small rectangular home with light green clapboards. Two windows flank the tan front door that hides beneath a dormer on the front porch area. Off to the side of the home is a fenced-in deck for outdoor eating and relaxing. The house sits among the trees as a cozy retreat from the world.

When you go inside, you’ll find the quaint kitchen with open-face cabinets, a small stove with an oven and a full-sized microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. A small dinette sits in the middle of the hardwood floors. The living space includes two comfortable chairs for relaxing and the bathroom is fully equipped with a tub/shower, toilet, and washer and dryer. The master bedroom has the same beautiful hardwood floors and a large bed.

Oh! So beautiful! And what a beautiful setting. I love the way the washer and dryer is handled in the batheoom area. The whole bathroom is lovely.

Alex Why keep showing us vacation rentals? Unless you can show building plans for them, what is the point. I don’t want to rent one. I want to build a tiny home. These homes are cute.

I love that he posts them. All tiny and small homes. They are inspiring and give great ideas while some of us build our small homes. Keep them coming. Not everyone needs a floor plan to benefit.

I love this place! The setting is beautiful! It’s nearly perfect to suit my needs and wants in a smaller home. Possibly 600 sq. ft. or so? I’m just guessing. It would be nice to have plans available for something like this.

Maria- Though I’m not speaking for Alex, my only thought to your question would be that some people might want to try out living in a smaller area before making a decision to buy/ build. This and possibly to show what can be done with a certain area of space. I , like you, would like to see more plans and costs to build to said structures though.

    Have a great day everyone!

Probably many of the houses on this site were/are rentals. Who cares. What’s the difference between a cabin and a tiny house? Again, who cares. But the photos are clear–and show just how small this cabin is. Forget those two nice full-size recliners you’d like to watch your big screen (they’re getting bigger) on. Just goes to show…the smaller you go, the more minimalistic you must become. Plans? Give me ten minutes to draw them up…
