99 Sq. Ft. Anderjack Tiny Cottage on Wheels for $19,000

I wanted to let you know that a 99 Sq. Ft. Anderjack tiny cottage on wheels is available to buy right now from Four Lights Houses.

This Craftsman style tiny house is located in New York right now. The structure is 7′ x 16′ but with the trailer and roofline, it’s about 9’6″ x 20′ with an 11’2″ height.

When you go inside the first level ceiling is 6’6″ high and when you go into the upstairs loft it’s about 3′ tall. This is a shell model which means the interior is unfinished. That’s why it’s just $19,000 because there’s still plenty of work to be done before it’s completed.

The good news is that you can finish the inside any way that you like. This includes the option of using Jay Shafer’s component furniture for tiny houses to finish it.

From Tiny House Listings: “448 Sq. Ft. Tiny A-frame Cabin for sale w/ Land for $15k.”

Four times the room and $4,000.00 less money; what’s to even think about in contrast with the above? A real No Brainer decision.

Yes, Prices from the “builders” are getting pretty inflated to say the least. I bought a COMPLETE 200 sq ft tiny house for $20,000 and had enough money left over to completely gut and redesign the inside for only a couple of thousand more. More. Than twice the space, finished, cheaper than this.

Deb wrote: “Prices from the “builders” are getting pretty inflated to say the least.” I completely and utterly agree with you and Jenifer.

Now, you’d think that I would NOT agree with this assessment, since I make my income as a builder/architect. But, I do NOT build for the Tiny House Community: I build for people who have $100 bills falling out of their pockets. My specialty is add-ons to homes, which I see as tiny houses…sort of…and I use many of the space saving features in my designs. As I understand the basic tenets of the Tiny House Movement, they are: 1) Being Planet Friendly by reducing your carbon footprint; 2) Saving a fortune from rent or high mortgages by building a home under $5,000.00; 3) Learning to live with Less vs. More.

Maybe I’m confused? But, when I see these tiny “designer” homes where more than 1/2 of the photos used to sell them are close-ups of doorknobs, lighting fixtures and one-of-a-kind custom cabinetry, well, then I fear the Tiny House Movement has Jumped the Shark and become a Whale…all big and bloated and right back to high costs and using new materials vs. reclaimed materials.

Oh well, I guess if you’re selling a $500,000 to $2 M home, a custom fabricated, Turn-Key ready tiny home IS cheap, at half the cost!

Okay, this is getting weirder and weirder. I am getting notice of comments on old threads but when I click on the thread, the new comment is Missing! (play X-Files music in the background, please!)

Two weeks without a new post, is Alex alive?”

I’m wondering the same thing! No Alex. No Tiny House Blog as it used to be. Some new bloggy thing where “Alex” asks questions such as “What do you think of this house?” but NO ABILITY TO COMMENT, whatsoever. I refuse to get tied to Facebook so if that’s the only way to follow Tiny House, well…see ya’ll. 🙁 It’s been fun and educational with all the opinions.

Hey Cahow, this is because I moved servers last night so some of the comments went back in time, etc. I knew we were bound to have some issues but on the bright side our site is now a lot more secure now. So sorry for the weirdness it’s causing. Hopefully it will be worth it.

Hey, Alex. I was one of the one that notified you that your site was hacked so I understand starting a new site. What I’m wondering is: I’m receiving NEW Tiny House Blog postings but there is NO PLACE TO COMMENT! You continue to post interesting and exciting blog posts but when you ask questions such as “What do you think of the loft? Windows? Design?” and there’s no way your subscribers can comment, then it defeats the purpose of even looking at the emails.

Is the Comment Section coming BACK to your new site? I realize that this is all very new and I’ll be patient but I just want to know what to expect, in the long run.

Thanks for coming here and answering, Alex. You have many faithful followers and I’m sure they’re equally confused.
