This is a perfect example where you need a murphy bed. You could use the entire bed space for living room space during the day and just pull down the bed at night.

Love everything about this place – location, decor, colors.

As of June, 2015 it was on the market for $424,500. Don’t know if it is still available.

Why is everyone so concerned with the decor? It is all about preference! This is a vacation rental and a tiny home. This home is truly beautiful. Can’t people say something nice or don’t say anything. I know ya’ll can keep your fingers from typing because I’ve it in a few posts!

For God’s sake, it’s a cottage. When you’re at the cottage, the bed can be in the living area, the fridge can be on the porch – unstructured living is what a cottage is all about. Pull UP!

This is absolutely charming. I’m certain the owner is sad to part with it.

While there is a refrigerator on the porch — easy access to cold drinks, extra food storage etc. without having to go in and out of the cottage proper — there is also a refrigerator in the kitchen.

Where does the entry door on the other side enter into the space? I cannot find it on the solid wall. Thanks so much!

Where is the entry door on “the other side” come into the space? I do not see where this entrance is on the solid wall and yet it is in the last picture, on the road side. Thank you!

You are correct in that there appears to be no entry area. Since that appears to be a covered in front porch perhaps it is actually a storage area now and does not enter into the main part of the house.

I remember taking an interior decor course. When we visited homes we were NOT allowed to make negative comments. Our teacher insisted that we could build on positives but not on negatives and I know she was correct. One must find the positives and ignore the negatives. Makes the experience a beneficial one. Cheerio.

Marilyn Miller If one does not see the negatives clearly, they can not fix the problems. Life and good design is about balance, positives and negatives. seeing or thinking or doing only positives or only negatives is not balanced and simply does not work.

I love this with the double French doors! Love the blue paint too. And, it would be super easy to add a couch or divider between the bed and living area if desired. But, this is not our house. I bet it is the perfect floor plan for the person living in it! 🙂

Love it. It’s almost exactly what I have planned for my backyard, if I’m ever fortunate enough to find someone to help me build it. And thank you, Marilyn Miller for your post. This site is wonderful for ideas and visuals and positive contributions. And thanks Alex for website.

I really love this house. The one thing that I was wondering about is the storage….where is it? I would love to have it built on a small parcel of land by a lake. I was curious about the plans and how much it will cost…..I don’t care that it is small, but I do need storage for my clothing. Small doesn’t really matter when you can open an entire wall to the outside. Plan on entertaining when the weather is warm.
