The Warmest House in the World: PassivDom modulOne

Yes, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, this PassivDom modulOne is the “warmest house in the world.”

And it’s only 380 sq. ft.! The modulOne is a super cool manufactured structure that comes in three “levels” of completeness: The Autonomous (which is 100% self-sustaining), the Standard (which has all your appliances, fixtures, etc. but needs to be hooked up to exterior power/sewer), and the Module Plus (a finished shell with wiring for electrical and heating, but nothing else).

Enjoy the pictures and the video tour, and be sure to check out all the additional details and pricing below!

The roof of the module is fully covered with solar panels. We have mounted the cells directly into the roof in order to use every square centimeter of the area and get more solar power.

Three Options:

The home is fully autonomous and includes a self-sufficient power system (solar panels, batteries, inverters), independent water supply (water storage, powerful purification system, and independent sewage).

I think so! Although I don’t know what shipping looks like. You can contact them directly through their website, though, to make sure.

This seems to good to be true.

Agreed! Hard to believe they managed to pack all those features into such a great looking package for less than many of the 200-300sf THOW’s I’ve seen. I suppose they save by omitting the trailer, and presumably they are banking on economy of scale coming into play. I hope they succeed! I’d very much like one of these as a ski retreat up in the mountains.

Had to laugh at this one…it has already been 98 degrees here so I don’t want the ‘warmest house in the world’.

I like it because it more my style than the traditional ones.
However, getting in touch with them seems to be difficult.
I did via their website, got a confirmation but until now no reply.

I usually love all the tiny houses, but, this one? The warmest? I have never seen such a cold-looking house of any size, anywhere, as this one.

Amazing what you get for your money with this one! It would be nice to see what the units would cost delivered to the USA.

Awesome design but i feel there are some privacy issues. Sunlight is great but i dont think I’d want anyone being able to watch me sleep or change clothes or use the restroom
