so….how do i get one? the only thing i would change about this one is putting a front-loading washer/dryer in instead of top loading. and maybe no cabinet lighting….

By far the best I ever seen. Howuch is this costing to be or have it build?

The best you’ve ever seen? That’s awesome! As for cost, not sure, but you can contact the builders to find out 🙂

For a TH, this sure looks huge inside. Nice clean lines of woodwork. But what is that inside the wooden lid in the bathroom?

      September 30, 2016, 3:09 pm

Its a big 250 GAL water tank. This tiny house has an off the grid water system, but its almost all for the bath itself

    • Jaime
      September 30, 2016, 4:55 pm

My guess is that is the 200 gallon water storage tank that’s mentioned in the descriptive text…

It also mentioned that there was a 40 gallon water heater – personally, I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t use an on-demand heater in a tiny house – for a wide range of reasons – but whatever floats the boat I guess.

I’m thinking it is a washer/dryer combo. The reason is because I went to their web site where they actually have a huge vertical closet for the water tanks and other machine components like a water pump as well. Everything is self-contained so the pressure to move the water through the system originates with the pump instead of an exterior source.

No mention of the washer/dryer was made, however the conceptual design is a good one if that is the case. You don’t loose any space that way and you also have a place to fold the laundry.

You are indeed correct. A quick visit to their (linked) website and hovering over the pictures shows in the lower part of my browser, Chrome btw) the name of the picture in the URL.

On demand heaters to my understanding use a LOT of electricity in the process. While ODH’s can be a benefit in a grid connected home by not having to heat up a cylinder every time cold water enters after use, coming off a Solar supplied system might be just a tad problematic.

        • Jaime
          October 6, 2016, 1:22 am

Yes, electric on-demand heaters take up or can take up the entirety of a 200 Amp electrical service, never mind the meager 50 Amp services that are used in most tinies. That said, most of the on-demand heaters that I’ve had any experience with are gas fired – either natural gas, LNG or propane. I would never have much interest in and electric demand heater unless it was supplemental at point of use. I have a gas fired on-demand heater in my current home, however, and I find that IT works admirably.

          September 16, 2017, 5:16 pm

What is everyones obsession with electric. LP on demand water heaters are both more efficient monitarily and work better as well. Take up way less space than a tank heater.

Just an FYI – you’re right – it is bigger than most tiny houses on wheels because it’s technically more of a park model home.

    September 30, 2016, 3:56 pm

Yes! What is that inside the wooden lid in the bathroom?? It seems like everything else was described in detail.
Love the overall design! Very well done!

How on earth would you be able to replace the hot water heater? Love the bath tub. The whole house is very pretty.

I love this Tiny House! I would have a Clic Clack sofa bed in the living area and let younger, fitter guests sleep upstairs! I woul fit a rail to the loft room to stop guests dropping down during the night. I would just need a washing machine and I would be happy to live there full time. I would never move it, as I have never towed anything and am not about to start doing so at my age.

  • Joyce Davenport
    September 30, 2016, 5:31 pm

This is one of my top picks also. Like the white and the kitchen. More rails are a good idea. So is a washer. $?

Is there some way to cook something other than toast and coffee?

      October 1, 2016, 1:53 pm

Yes, there’s a small range at the end of the counter next to the bathroom wall. One picture shows dishtowel hanging from it. It looks like a smoothtop or induction top.

If you look enough, you will see a range hood above the stove top.

Whats under The Lid In The Bathroom? I WOULD NEED A SPACE FOR A WASHER & DRYER Other Than That HOW MUCH?? Where Would you Suggest A W&D Space? One Of My Top Three!!!

I would have to say this is one beautiful tiny house…! And I too like the stairs, and especially the fore thought of adding a hide away step at the bottom of the stair case so as not to tumble over it when busy in the kitchen…. I also like the wood floors and ceiling, and then again breaking up the paint once more with the counter tops and shelves, as well as thee stair risers, and over the fridge area, Making it all very well balanced in it’s appearance…! Great job…!

    What’s the length anybody?

    • Tisha

the site states this home is 10′ x 34′

  • Anna
    October 6, 2016, 11:04 pm

When tiny home builders owners don’t post prices, I worry that they aren’t good at business, or as soon as their homes become popular they will raise prices and nobody knows any better.

The rate of exchange would surely advantage our neighbours from the south when buying a big item like a tiny house in Quebec, if you are able to pick it up yourself.

Love the interior finishes. I’ve had pancreatic cancer and do have fibromyalgia which leaves me with pain and low energy. I’d need to put a pullout bed on the main floor. Is the refrigerator next to a clothes closet? Don’t need much, but it gets cold here too in Minn. ; and we have long coats and dresses to hang up, not fold. Again this is a beautiful home!

Do you know dimensions/weight? I went to their website and it’s not listed there either.

Beautiful design. Just have to mind those drawer pulls on the bottoms steps. May be safer to have recessed drawer pulls.

Great house! Love to see Canadian builders showcased here. Like to get some idea of their pricing without having to fill out their contact form for a “quote”. Beautiful design concepts on their site, but only the vaguest of pricing parameters. That lack of transparency makes me think “why so secretive?”… strikes me as a bit haughty.

    • Natalie
      January 19, 2017, 6:28 am

I do like more transparency, but I think for some builders they’d rather not have a “base” quote if they know it’ll have a lot of add-ons, because that’s worse than just having a higher quote. However, as I’m sure you see from the comments on these homes every day, everyone wants something different from a tiny, meaning it’s hard to give a one size fits all price.

    Hello Alex,
This is a great THOW, it appears wider than usual. I couldn’t find the width and length dimensions, I got the 340sq/ft. I will keep checking, but if some body could get me one or both measurements it could mean an order may be placed??? (and an aprox. $ value would be helpful,I’d have something to work on)

There web page isn’t/wasn’t the easy to get full details from!
    Thanks David

Merci

I have one simple word for this house.

    PERFECTION

Great execution on use of space and all the essentials are there.

    Love it!

Lovely home. Is it a 10 ft. wide home? Kitchen has great storage and a place to eat and there is a comfy convertible bed in living area. Smart! Good storage under the stairs. as well as built in drawers. Smart. Is there a space for hanging clothes? What is that in the bathroom under a shelf? Hot water tank or clothes washer? Obviously big tub is quite nice tho I see no showerhead. What would be the cost?

  • Gladys McCabe

absolutely Beautiful just perfect I could live in this

  • keepyourpower
    September 16, 2017, 6:03 pm

I really like it. It is not the smaller THOW. It is a park model. Wider than the regular ones.
I would change out the tub, for a walk in tub/shower.
Do not understand the water heater enclosed that way.
It IS beautiful. But coming from Canada…it is probably expensive. And can you imagine the costs, to move it to it’s location? Set up? Rent of lot?
Would love this with off grid capabilities.

I’ve never seen a min-split AC/heating unit mounted that low to the floor.
Since warm air rises it would be fine in the winter but in the summer your feet would be freezing and the rest of you very warm it seems. Also over time I would think that the heat coming out would eventually damage the flooring underneath.

In spite of the fact this has a loft, I really like this one! It has great stairs to make the loft more appealing

  • Maria
    October 1, 2017, 6:55 am

This is a beautiful house. But I don’t understand why the roof is slanted. Also I would make some changes. I would get rid of the wood burning stove and the a/c unit. I would put in a mini split. Get rid of the composting toilet and put in a low flush RV toilet. Where the refrigerator is I would put a stack able washer and dryer and put refrigerator at the end of counter where wall a/c is. Small table where wood burning stove is. Just my thoughts.

  • November 17, 2019, 11:00 am

This is a fabulous small home, well laid out and open. As a fan of MODERN I can appreciate the look of this Tiny Home.
I could not help but to notice that the whole idea on the heading caption refers to the “large tub”, and yet there is not one photo of it except for two barely glimpses of it. (!?)
