Wow! I love this from the porch to the little bedroom tucked away under the sitting area. Beautiful wood finishes, clever little table and kitchen. I just love this!

I didn’t notice where the bath is, but the layout is just great! I would be interested to see how much this would cost. It certainly has possibilities.

Another very fine house, I love the way it looks as your about to enter. that little bit of a vestibule is a nice touch…! Normally I would complain saying it’s a waste of space in a house where sq. ft. is at a premium…! No I have to say it’s a very nice house…!

Wow! Again, the design is awe inspiring, breaking the long room into living areas, the sofa, morphing into a full size bed, by a great window… Never befor has so much usage has been attained in such a small area,,it is professionally rendered, esthetic, yet functional.Je taime

Why does it seem that all your tiny homes have wheels. I admit some of them are very creative, but unless you have rural land somewhere the only place in almost any city you can park your ” tiny house” is in a mobile home park. As cute as they are a house on wheels is a mobile home and most cities or incorporated areas do not allow mobile homes on private property. I whould like to see more permanent tiny homes personally, but as I have to admit these are some of the most cleverly done homes and do give great ideas on maximizing the use of space.

Hi, Darrell. To answer your question, building a tiny house on a trailer isn’t always just for mobility. Jay Shafer’s Small House Book states that many, if not most, communities have mandated minimum home sizes–around 800 sf, if I recall correctly, so you can’t just build a 200 sf house and put it wherever you want. Putting the home on wheels turns it into an RV, which is under a whole different set of regulations. Jay Shafer founded the Tumbleweed Tiny House company, and has now founded Four Lights Tiny Houses.

Mike, I think the bathroom in this build is just to the right of the front door; this house reminds me a bit of one of Brevard’s builds, shown here: https://tinyhousetalk.com/brevard-tiny-house-company/.

I, too, really like this build. My first reaction to the split kitchen was “What the…?!?”…until I saw the raised living area. Greaat idea! That and the first-floor bedroom. Were I by myself, I could definitely live in this one.

You have to hand it to the Europeans – they excel in minimalist planning and living. Most Europeans don’t live in big homes like we have in the United States. They go to the grocery store every day or so, buy less clothing, learn to conserve – all the while earning more than we do. George Carlin has a great video on “Stuff.”

Usually I a bit scared off by so much wood, but BALUCHON pulls it off masterfully. I may not love every detail in each of their designs I’ve seen thus far, but I’m very impressed by their work… It has a distinct flavour despite their infusing such individuality into each home.

Agreed. Laeticia’s Baluchon design got my attention as well (recently featured, hope I spelled her name correctly).

This is beautiful. Look at the living room slightly elevated. I love it when this is done. I love the ground floor bedroom, I would use it as a reading nook, place to snooze. The love is gorgeous. Way to go!!

    This looks beautifully executed.

I have been wondering for ages about whether it was workable to have the sitting room upstairs and bed down. Great to see some one has done it. I’d be interested to see what they think of it functionally after 12 months or so.

I am guessing the bathroom is by the front door.

This is one of the best designs I’ve seen yet!

The split-level is a beautiful and creative use of space, both for living and for storage.

The only design feature I can’t find (and I’ve read the French web site information) is how it is heated. Can anyone provide that information?

    Thanks!

Hmmm I’m sorry Erin! The only information I have is what I gave you. I don’t see any wood stove or propane heater, so maybe something portable? — Tiny House Talk Team

Really like the living room up and the bed down! Kind of like sleeping in a tent. Puzzle mats on the floor for the creaky knees does seem more appealing than climbing a ladder, and when company comes -just chuck the ‘messy’ in there and close the door, lol!

I really like the layout of this house. I like where the bathroom is. A little unusual but I like it. I like how the bedroom and the living room are reversed. It makes the living space feel so open.
