This is the Ironclad Tiny House on Wheels by Wind River Tiny Homes in Tennessee.

The Ironclad tiny home started out as a hybrid of two of our past builds (The Chimera and The Rook) but ended up taking on a life of it’s own. This sleek and modern tiny house won’t stand up to canon balls like the Civil War warships from which it gets it’s name, but the 40 year warranty metal siding and roofing are incredibly durable and low maintenance.

Step inside and you’ll find the interior has a modern feel with industrial and rustic accents. White ship lap walls, light natural pine ceiling, and subway tiles are offset by the brooding and dark tone of the trim, hardware, fixtures and floor. The Ironclad tiny home also has a larger than standard bathroom, large shower (48″x 32″) and full sized appliances which allow the space to feel and operate like a much larger home.

Industrial exterior brings you into a safe-feeling mindset.

Steps to the main loft. Storage bench seating in living room.

Look at that adorable mini heater! Also a split system above.

Add some more cushions and you can lounge comfortably.

Space for the washer/dryer combo unit. No laundromats.

More industrial features: Love the caged light fixture.

Stove and oven for those who want to make cooking a priority.

Take a look out the window while washing dishes in your classy sink.

Open shelving coupled with cabinets below.

Stairs with a railing and closed-off storage for hiding clutter 🙂

Absolutely gorgeous live-edge fold-down table.

Another view of the storage and washer/dryer unit.

Dark floors and light ceilings contrast with white walls.

Notice that the bathroom is not near the kitchen!

Looking out from the secondary loft to the master loft.

And taking a peek the other way. Cute ceiling fan!

I love the mini built-in bedside “tables” for a book or glass of water.

Fold clothes, display pictures and more with these shelves.

Another view of the secondary loft — good for storage!

Built-in ladder takes you up and down.

Wow that sink looks like a big bubble! How fascinating.

Here’s the Nature’s Head composting toilet.

Subway tiles in the shower stall. Always a classy choice.

Could you call this quaint space “home”?

I like the pantry area here. Great for storing dried goods.

This is a Dickinson Cozy Cabin propane heater. Buy it here.

Such classy lines with this faucet. It’s all in the details.

So tell us, what do you think of the Ironclad?

Overall, I love the looks, and yes I could “call this home”.
I agree the bath sink is a bad joke, more water ends up on the floor than in that “sink”. And as many here know I frown on the Nature’s head, once someone has seen a Separett toilet they are sold. The third and last item I’d change is the living room seating: I can not possibly lounge on a bench. Regardless of number of pillows 😉
These three aside, the house is phantastic. And the metal siding and roof is not just practical but in this case here beautiful too!

From a marketing standpoint… since obviously this home is up for sale, it could stand some staging. The sitting area in the living area and the master bedroom need some additional touches to show people how the space could be utilized. Sorry, but the washer/dryer unit in the lounge area isn’t the best design.

I do always love some staging 🙂

This home is not up for sale, it was a custom built home for a customer and there wasn’t enough time to do much staging.

I agree with you Michael…..I would not want my view from the couch to be of the washer/dryer.
