Jamaica Cottage Shop has some really cool, unique homes.

He mentions 35,000 sq ft ‘shop’ & 100 models in stock, that’s pretty substantial. I really like this build & it sure seems like JCS has it together. For example, the C02 detector should be standard in any of the units that have gas but I haven’t seen very many used in other builds. I always wonder when I see those showers at floor level if they bothered to install a proper trap. They address this with the raised floor The carpentry work is very good, different angles on the dormers give it a unique feel. I give them an A on this one.

Good details but overall to much clutter for my taste. I prefer clear simple (and less expensive) design.

I’m totally loving that ‘lollipop’ stained glass window. Love it!
I’m also loving the outside looks of this house; very different, reminds me of Queen Anne or Victorian styling. Very nice.
I’m also loving the big spacious upstairs; wonderful, and the bank of windows in the bump-out for that surround feeling (I bet that’s REALLY nice during the winter holiday season with the snow falling and colored lights everywhere.)
My only concern are the natural edges on things. For me, I think I’d be snagging my clothing and scraping my arms and belly; I’m too clutzy and need to live in a more child-proof environment (with me being the kid!)
This is a beautiful build; very creative and eye-catching. A wonderful addition to the THOW roster of possibilities in dream housing 😀
