Close but No Cigar. No Loft – just give me a hide-a-bed and a slightly slanted roof with windows along the up-side. Also, How about a loo-and-a-half ?

This is a GREAT design! I’ve never seen the loo split in half, and a tiny bedroom in a house this size. What more do you want? If you want a full bedroom on the main floor and a loo and a half, that simply doesn’t fit into a tiny house.

A charming atmosphere and a restfully colorful tiny house with lots of white to keep it open and airy. I can’t find any clothing storage, especially hanging space, except for the tiny drawere i the loft. So I am betting whomever moves into this cute house will change the downstairs bedroom into a closet! 🙂

I probably shouldnt admit to this but my clothes all seem to congregate on one chair. No need for a closet unless the queen is coming to visit. 🙂

Hahaha 🙂 No judgement here! I wish I could say I always hang things up, but laundry is my worst chore! Hubby takes care of it hahaa…

Love it. Bed next to bath. Just what an old lady needs! ;.) really!
I guess it is a twin? Might be claustrophobic though.
Just give me a Murphy bed, in the living room area, that turns into a sofa. Then I could use the twin bed area for a closet. Yeppers!

I live in the Charleston, SC area. So many businesses are called Sweetgrass, because we have so much of it here.

Why is this THOW called Sweetgrass?

By the way, love the color. Is there a space for a washer/dryer?

And to the people who asked…I see a loft. I see a large closet near the kitchen.

Kathy, I was just thinking the same thing. It’s in a great location and looks large enough for decent closet storage. Nice tiny house.

Although the downstairs bedroom seems to be very tiny I like it, Much better than the cramped lofts. With a lift up bed it could be duplicate as home office.
Counter space in the kitchen could be optimized by relocating the fridge which has a good size for guys who love to cook.
Relocating the entrance to the side would allow a full width bathroom and save some space to get a more comfortable bedroom size.
I like the style. Well done.

I like the innovative stair case design. I’d leave out the back bedroom in favor of a full bath with a tub, ad an oven, and be in heaven.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Any idea on cost of this beauty? I love the small downstairs bedroom with the bathroom right next to it, the split doesn’t bother me. Looks like there is enough room under the counter for washer/dryer combo. Kitchen is great, enough room for my oversized convection/toaster countertop oven right next to the cooktop. Storage? There’s plenty. Looks like a large closet for hanging or pantry under stairs. If the rest of the stairs are open on the side more room for drawers or slide out baskets for storage. Could also install another cabinet on top of bathroom counter with shelves for foldable items. Loft is great for visitors. The only change I would make to the space is flipping the door with the side window to make the living room more livable. If you don’t need the storage under the built in couch you could have a love seat and comfy chair or a couple of chairs.

It costs $62,000 with everything you see here. — Tiny House Talk Team

That bathroom behind the bedroom seems like it could get awkward though… if someone’s using the toilet or taking a shower, are you basically locked into your tiny room until they’re done? And… presumably there’s not much sound-proofing with that thin wall. Or smell-proofing.

I’m with the votes for sticking a full-sized tub back there instead.

Hahaha I don’t think you’d get trapped, but yea, it’s a good thing to consider! Maybe put the guests in the loft? — Tiny House Talk Team

It’s a cute home, but just a bit too small for me. CT’s comment about being trapped in the small bedroom if someone is using the bathroom made me break out in a cold sweat at the thought—I am claustrophobic. My thought when I saw that space is that it almost felt like you’d be sleeping in the bathroom. It’s a cute home but it’s just not for me.

It is a beautiful TH and the color theme is nice. Great for a young couple. But the loft would be a killer for me. Still nice though.

I almost love this… maybe chop off the living room space, turn the downstairs “bedroom” into a closet/washer drier room.

  • Rusty Kerr
    January 28, 2017, 8:33 pm

Sweet grass is my favorite. I would put a daybed in the downstairs bedroom and do away with the loft. Where the ladder is I would put a washer/dryer combo and lower the ceiling to 8 or 9 feet. If possible extend the length 2 – 4 ft. and add 2 ft to the bedroom and 2 ft to the bathroom.
Outside it needs a front porch and flower boxes under the windows.

      January 28, 2017, 11:01 pm

Rusty, my thoughts are quite similar. The bedroom would definitely benefit from a little bit more space. I would top it by a lift up one and you have space for a gym, office or whatever. Eliminating the loft is putting away the dormers and make the roof straight which looks better and should be cheaper, too. However, I think the bathroom is already much more spacious than in other THOW’s. A porch could be a fold up type to make towing easier.
