Here is the Swallowtail historic tiny cabin/studio retreat in Petaluma, CA. The history behind this 2.5-acre property is back in the 70s the property was known as Swallowtail Studios, a famous glass blowers co-op. The American rock band, The Grateful Dead, played in the barn and hung out here often.

This carved and stained teak wood studio retreat is one bedroom with a spacious outdoor deck and hot tub. Just a few steps across the deck is the very large, luxurious, and art-filled private bathroom and sitting area.

From the outside it looks like a nice garden shed, doesn’t it?

But when you open up and go inside, it’s a bedroom shed!

That was my thought. Rent the barn for a wedding ceremony and party. Then send the guests to town for their hotel and retire to a very beautiful bedroom. 🙂
Some lovely decorative ideas that could be used/adapted to other homes.

I loved it, But I would make a few changes, Like a wall between my kitchenette and the bathroom, Probably I will upgrade the furniture, and organice a little bit, dont take me wrong but, there’s a lot of stuff, specially around the bathtub and that sofa is so old…. I probably would mix it with some modern touch.

I don’t think it is a kitchenette. It’s the bathroom.
The sink area is just lovely and roomy. I gather it is a b and b
with breakfast being provided by the owners.
A little kitchen would be nice though, if your stay was longer than
      a weekend.?

I love this sweet little cottage style. In fact, I could live here so easily-all by little myself!
I would only change one thing. Must have a privacy wall around tub.

    Great job!

I would love to stay and for a couple of nights and get away to plan on a new life and grieve a lost friend. It looks all together gorgeous and relaxing and it’s just going to be me. Counting on all the fantastic reviews to be true…there are so many how could you not get a fantastic review? How do I make a reservation?

Something new on your site, the video that plays to the right side takes over my viewing, pulls my screen to the video repeatedly up to ten times before it lets me see the article. Very irritating.

Looks more like a spiritual retreat. I love it. Thank you for sharing.

It is an ascetic appearance of authentic historical art. Very attractive
