This is a studio tiny house designed by Tiny Diamond Homes.

These homes are largely customizable and you can even add solar power and get electrical and water hook-ups on them. Outside, you’ll notice a rectangular home with bright blue clapboard and crisp white trim. This home sits on a trailer, so it’s fully mobile. The tall roof includes a bay of windows for extra sunlight inside.

When you go inside, you’ll find this model paneled with knotty pine. A folding divider wall separates the bedroom from the main living area. There’s a wall of built-in white cabinets and an apartment-sized refrigerator. Step into the bathroom and find a tub/shower, sink and toilet as well as a washer and dryer!

I agree, wonderful tub. What is the mfg name and can you clue us in on the cost…..please. I also would like to know about where the ladder goes. I am also thrilled to finally see a washer and a dryer. The other all in one take hours and hours to wash and dry. I would sure like a couple more windows. There were some ideas worth taking note of in this one.

    Thank you for sharing it.

Window placement was chosen to allow room for her mother’s paintings. The beam is structural ensuring the home handles road stress but the track lighting on it was to highlight her mother’s art. She wanted her privacy and so we worked hard to bring in sunlight without too much worry about neighbors looking in.

    Looks manufactured. Lacks personality.

I agree, where did the personality go, was it manufactured right out? It also feels clunky to me but that could also be the styling. I would suggest that they get a pro interior designer in there if they want to shoot it for a website. Right now it looks like a college dorm. I like the idea of the bed not being a loft since I am older but I wish they had chosen something other than that screen as a divider, it doesn’t have the same feel as the rest of the decor and it gives me a wah, wah, feeling. I am not trying to be negative, just honest in the way this model hit me at first blush. It could look very livable with just a wee bit of tweaking.

Note to manufacturer: There is a lot of opportunity to appeal to more folks if you have this styled for at least three groups – milennials, bohos/free spirits, and retired/or soon to be retired, or a combination there of.

Also, how hard would it be to move with the larger appliances? The tub is nifty but my guess is that you have to give up something to get something. In this case it appears to be ease of mobility(?).

This was built specifically for our customer. She has lost her mother recently and they chose the room divider together. Every little piece of furniture she chose. Please remember it isn’t always a builder but a person who is trying to live after losing her mother. She was moving into her new home before we had a chance to finish it and is still loving it. Sunlight pours in all day and all the finishes are hers, down to the paint choices. The tub is a gift to herself for being alive.

Please know our company is about getting to know you as a person and making your dream possible. Our homes aren’t about us it is about the people who will live in them for generations.

        Thank you for your comments,
        Cheryl

Cheryl, your response sure sells me for your company. The home is lovely, and as you say each customer has different needs/desires. I am still pulling together ideas, but your compassion and mission will inspire me to call you when I am ready. Well done.

I’m not sure I could live with all that pine, though I see a lot of people love it. Personal taste aside…at least make sure the joints all line up in the corners.

I fail to see what your comment is about Brian. I’ve gone to each and every picture on the page and all the joints line up in the corners, unless you are talking about the end walls lining up with the roofing panels. If so, well should be obvious that it would never happen due to the angles. Unless of course you wanted to custom size each length of wood which would not only be extremely time consuming but expensive to do to boot.

Sorry to be so picky Eric. I thought maybe I shouldn’t say anything after I hit submit. But….short wall behind bathroom sink and the short wall behind the toilet was what I was referring to.

If there is no loft, why was there a ladder in one of the pictures? What is it for?

Denise, in the FB comments, Cheryl Coates responded that the ladder led to a storage loft.

I think the house is lovely. Her style is very minimalist and there is such beauty in that. I love that there is a bed on the first floor, and it’s actually a real piece of furniture. I’m just really taken with the simplicity of the place. And now I want one. Is there a price list for similar models?

What about the orange house parked next to it?

Still don’t see mention of the manufacturer / model of the tub? That would be very nice to know. Thanks.

I really like the blue and orange, I assume they are the same.
Can you quote price? Where are you located and how much is shipping?
    Thanks, Joann 941-628-6957

I’m so glad to see a 30′ long tiny house! I want a tiny house but as long as possible. There are not enough articles on the longer ones. Can one like this be pulled with a pickup or would it require a semi?

Not a fan of the exterior style. Very bland like an old singlewide…

To each their own I suppose…

I guess it’s a downside of letting customers design their own and having to put your name on it…

Also, why are the doors on all these on the low side of the roof? Seems like poor planning. Ever walk into a house in the rain without gutters?
