This is a student designed and built modern tiny cabin called the Barnsworth Studio that was built thanks to a crowd funding Kickstarter campaigns created by the students.

Inside you’ll find an open living area with a wardrobe and nothing else so to make this tiny round cabin home you’d have to find a way to add a kitchen and a bathroom.

Please enjoy, learn more, and re-share below.

Love it!! Would appreciate a quickie email chat with one of these brilkliant atudents re crowd funding experience. Starting a grass roots effort here in Orlando to help the more than 400 homeless vets that sleep on our sidewalks and park benches. After nearly two years researching tiny homes, we have chosen to use Sing Core Panels. Would so appreciate hearing from one of you students. Again, beautiful job/ In the event my email address isn’t shown, it’s CyndiRaper at yahoo.

Well done; design and craftsmanship. Ready for someone to make their vision for the space reality.

If you follow the links, you see that the original need for this building was not for living space, but for an exhibit space for this large antique wardrobe on a historical property prone to flooding. Hence, the wardrobe is on display. As exhibit space, gorgeous modern barn siding outside and I love the creative use of leftover wood for the floor pattern.

Why on earth would ANYONE EVER move into this? It isn’t a home. It’s a circle basically, and nothing more.

By the way, modern usually indicates things such as running water, and flush toilets. This just blows my mind that anyone would waste that kind of money on something no one can live in as is.

And you can buy kits like this online. Not impressed. On a positive note, it is ok for a start.
Solution to adding rooms such as kitchen, bath, living is to create an “X” in the middle. This provide straight walls so you can use standard fixtures. Add more windows to view outside.
Otherwise if this is just a closet storage building, not impressed.

Well the bathroom and kitchen crazed people don’t realize new technology will work very well with this in the near future. A lot of people are still traditional thinkers so keep up the great work and keep being innovative. There are bathroom and kitchen solutions that will amaze people in the near future. Don’t waste your money now on old fashion thinking. Great work, its great to see some visionaries for a change.

I did not mean to REPORT Cap Nemo’s post, merely comment on his comment by saying, “Technology will not replace a hot shower to open my sinuses. Nor will it be able to replace a bowl of warm water for my morning shave… “

You are right Liz, I wouldn’t like to call it home, too. However, a round shape has it advantages especially in hurricane areas. With this wardrobe in the middle you can put kitchen and behind it bathroom and bed. Then it gets more complete although at least two more French doors should be added.

The middle a murphy bed. the right a round galvanized tub w a beautiful shower curtain and a large porta potty or composting toilet on beside it, covered dividing from the rest w a paper and 1″x 2″ diy room diveder. Stick a small exhaust fan to the back of the toilet through the wall cover w a little wooden door 🙂
On the left side, get an Avanti kitchen and you might even have enough room for a foldable table/chairs dinning set. WALA! What do you think? God bless and Happy trails!

Love it, where others criticize I see great potential. You can design the interior as you like to meet your needs. The skylight is a fantastic feature!! Good job students!
