The SimBLISSity 26’ Judy Blue Eyes is one of the latest “Aspen” design Tiny Homes on Wheels built by SimBLISSity Tiny Homes in Lyons, Colorado.

This custom Tiny was built for a delightful, colorful, young woman that is headed to Santa Cruz, CA with her Tiny to become a film maker.

SimBLISSity 26′ Judy Blue Eyes Tiny Home

SimBLISSity is dedicated to morphing the “Great American Dream” of owning a three bedroom house with a two car garage and 2.35 children into the “Great American Tiny Home Dream” with a two bicycle garage and children optional. Known for their high quality finishes inside and out this Tiny proves that “Not all Tinys are created equal!”

California daydreaming while sitting in snowy Colorado, the future film maker wanted a Tiny with an “ocean theme” to warm her soul and future. Thus, the exterior’s lower sides represent the ocean with it’s blue metal siding. Immediately above the ocean there is sand colored “Breckenridge” siding for the beach feeling. Placed above the beach are multi colored blue sky scalloped shingles creating a magical and whimsical appearance to this captivating Tiny.

Stepping inside the Tiny one discovers the ultimate attention to details that SimBLISSity is known for. Immediately eyes are drawn to the Napoleon propane fireplace; this is the source of heat on the chilly eves in Santa Cruz. SimBLISSity builds all their Tinys for enhancing romance so one can lounge on the comfortable L-shaped sofa while listening to the owner playing her ukele and signing her sultry lullabies. The living room is surrounded in blue stain pine wainscoting and large awning energy star rated windows.

Above the sofa is a large loft area that can be used for guest lodging as well as storage. Under the sofa is abundant storage that can handle snow skis or other gear.

The adjoining large kitchen has a 9’ butcherblock counter top, lots of kitchen cabinet storage, an alcohol counter top stove, energy start rated refrigerator, with a bottom freezer. There is a pantry and closet for clothing. Byron from SimBLISSity always says “You don’t have to live like a Monk to live in a Tiny” and consistently reminds clients that “there are things that nurture you soul” and he feels there is a need to design a Tiny to accommodate these items. Accordingly there is a Blueray turn table atop a piece of the Tiny lovers grandmother’s antique dressing table.

The spacious bathroom carries you into the ocean and beach feeling with its full sized 5’ bathtub surrounded by colorful tiles. There is a bathroom vanity and a Natures Head composting toilet. The linen closet provides additional closet space as well. There is an “on demand“ water heater provides and endless hot showers.

Heading up the stairway, yes, no latters here, one reaches the large 12’ X 7.5” sleeping loft. SimBLISSity is known for some of the largest sleeping lofts of all builders. The bedside tables are part of the grandmother’s antique dressing table. A queen sized bed fits between providing plenty of room for romantic moments. Above the bed is a large operable skylight for sleepless nights of star gazing. There are four 24 X 36” awning windows for lots of light and ample cross-breeze to cool those warm California days. There is a bookshelf and a cabinet to store this music lovers vinyl records.

For feline lovers one of the most unique things in this Tiny is an extremely creatively designed “Cat bridge” that stretches from the sleeping loft to the front loft.

This spacious, nearly 300 sq. ft. Tiny Home is bright and spacious providing inspiration and comfort.

On the rear of the Tiny is a spacious “two bicycle” garage. Providing room for all the toys that help to nurture one’s soul.

SimBLISSity builds custom Tinys that fit the eccentric nature of their clients. The SimBLISSity 26’ Judy Blue Eyes is sold and on its way to California. This Tiny Home can be recreated for around $85,000.00. The Tiny is built upon a 26’ TrailerMade movable foundation with twin 7K axles.

I drive by SimBLISSity on my way to work. Although, I am not quite ready myself to downsize. I see the love and quality that goes into these tiny homes they create. Should the opportunity for my family of 5 ever present itself, they definitely have a future customer in me!

How amazing is that tile work?

I cannot say enough good things about this THOW. From fun, cozy, creative, spacious, visually interesting, and downright beautiful, I don’t know which comes first!

Starting with that wrap around couch in delightful colours, we have a cozy place to curl up with a good book while being warmed by the perfectly placed fireplace. To complete the cozy theme, we have bookshelves facing the couch in front of the main loft providing easy access to books as well as a natural privacy barrier to the loft. Very well thought out! We move up into the spacious loft with a big window for early morning light coming in to gently wake you. The cat bridge is the finishing touch – as a person who has cats, what a nice way to keep them from jumping on the counter and have their own high space.

The bathroom is beautiful with all that colourful and interesting tile work, with enough space that one can settle in and have a good soak and not feel pushed out or cramped due to the small size. This creates an environment of relaxation. The kitchen space is perfect, allowing one to do bigger cooking and spread out. Throughout the house is the beautiful knotty pine and plywood, the gorgeousness allowed to come through by a clear coat of finish and not shamefully covered by paint which is a big design faux pas in my opinion. The floor is a rich, darker brown complementing the lighter walls and adding a level of warmth. The outside is so beautiful with those blue scallops and placed in a visually interesting way, creating quite the conversation piece. How cool is that to also have a storage area in the back for things like bicycles.

I wish this lady many happy years in her beautiful house, wish I was her!

just have to comment … beautiful work, but,
“playing her ukele and signing her sultry lullabies” Really?
    m(_ _)m

Thank you for the giggle! I was trying to think of any way a lullaby could be sultry but suddenly thought of Muskrat Love! And a bit of ASL is inspired in a pinch, when a ukele can’t be had for love or money.

        1. sultry muskrats on “ukulele” is a image funny indeed!
        2. singing instead of signing I believe?
        cheers …

Too bad the tub is in backwards – or else the fixtures need to be put on the opposite end – as anyone who truly enjoys a good soak will notice.

      March 27, 2017, 8:06 am

Why can’t you just lay away from the fixtures?

I see what you mean, you would have your back against the overflow and sit on the tub drain the way it’s set up. Probably worked for the plumbing better this way and you can always use a cushion for the back.

Yea you would need a cushion, though, which is annoying…or then again, might be extra luxurious 🙂

I LOVE this one! Just beautiful. I’d extend a faux chimney above that fireplace (to hide a flatscreen tv and dvd player). Otherwise it’s nearly perfect.

I thought I just seen this house on tiny house listings, as I remember the little cat walk that almost looks like rail road tracks….!

Sweet little place. Like the funky catwalk, the real bath and the openness. Not my taste in colors but is very nicely put together, nonetheless. Good job. Like it!

These are just my thoughts,RV low flush toilet,Tub needs to be turned around, before fireplace put in a free standing apartment stove,Hate built ins in living space,I like to move my furniture around once in a while, stairs need hand rail on the outside, get rid of cat walk, then this would be perfect for me. I love everything else . Everyone has their own style.

Beautiful tiny house. Love the pebbly bathroom floor and the clever catwalk (is that the ladder to the other loft?). What a good idea to use the loft wall as a bookshelf. The tile in the shower imitates a bit the layering of decoration of the outside. My favorite thing about the decorating is the dresser turned headboard. How clever and beautiful! Very nice house!!
