This is Seth Porges‘ off-the-grid tiny house getaway. He calls it The Glass House.
According to USA Today, “the 33-year-old journalist decided he had had enough of the city life and wanted a unique, personalized and portable getaway.”
So he decided on the ESCAPE Vista by ESCAPE Homes and was able to arrange to keep it on a friend’s farm in Marlboro, New York. Now you can even book the house on Airbnb!

nice
All those windows are fantastic! And the light colored wood is beautiful
It’s so clean and classy 🙂
I like the overall design, and all the light. It’s a difficult balance…using the light to give a spacious feel and have multi-functioning areas. Still…don’t people (even occasionally) like privacy? Me? I’d be afraid of coming out of the shower and…whoops! Let’s wave to the nice hikers while scarring them for life. ROFL. Maybe look into some dynamic glass windows?
Hi Seth. Did you build this or did someone in the area build it? I live up by Liberty and I am looking for a tiny house to buy.
Love yours!
Thank you!
Pamela
Hard to beat in so many ways. Low to tow easy, easy to build roof one can make a deck on for a really good view, breeze and get away
from insects.
And looks great.
My TH is similar in shape and built it mostly myself even being handicapped.
No loft is a big plus as no one uses them for long, if at all.
Though a little too much glass for heat loss, gain when
not wanted. They only need to be 3′ high and 2′ is fine with 2.5′ near perfect.
More important is that they open.
When the premises they are not missing…, fun is guaranteed: in total look “on plain air”, Tiny House on Wheels, an Go, Getaway.
