This is a “Pendleton Airstream” trailer: a limited edition hybrid creation by Airstream and Pendleton Woolen Mills.

They are only making 100 models, so if you want one you’ll have to snatch it up quickly! Outside, you’ll find a sleek retro aluminium facade complete with an awning and the flexibility to park wherever you want to call home. To convince you further, Airstream will donate $1,000 to the National Park Foundation for each trailer they sell!

When you go inside, you’ll find a fully off-the-grid capable home and the sharp contrast of metal and tan accents, including wooden floors, leather upholstery and wooden cabinets beneath the large sink. In 236 sq. feet, you can sleep six people: two in the bedroom, two in the convertible lounge, and another two in the convertible dining area. You can even add on solar power if you plan on traveling for a long time away from power sources. The kitchen includes a fridge, three-burner cooktop, an oven and a microwave for all your cooking needs. In the bathroom you’ll get a shower, toilet and water heater, as well as a 39-gallon fresh water tank, a grey water tank and a black water tank like a standard R.V. All with a price tag of about $114,600!

Don’t forget that does NOT include the truck to get it where it needs to go! That will run you (new) around $50,000 right there. This is not for those who are going to go live in the woods so much as those who have savings and secure retirement funds. Pretty yes—practical—well—-that depends!

My mistake. But regardless including a huge truck to pull it, you could buy 1/3 a mansion in my neck of the woods BUT if money is no object, then more power to you and party on lol 😉

LOL, yeah, $140k is A LOT!!! Although Airstreams are amazing trailers. Another way to get one for cheaper is to find a used one to gut and renovate. That’s what I’d do!

Unfortunately finding used ones at an affordable price can also be difficult to do — especially the smaller trailers. If it has that Airstream name on it, well , that just seems to up the price. But I agree with you, buy used and gut it. However, it is nicely done, but I also agree with those that said, but it is still a travel trailer — Airstream or not.

At the price tag of $114,000.00 Airstream should have enough margin to donate more than a mere $1000 per unit sold to the National Park Foundation. Gee, how cheap can they be.

Why do they have to donate anything for each unit they sell? I’ve never heard of any other RV companies doing that.

        Exactly what I was thinking.

“Airstreams” AIN’T CHEAP! Trust me: I’ve owned TWO! But they are extremely well built, extremely attractive, and extremely historic, PLUS any “Special Edition” models ALWAYS drive up the price. And, yes, I guess you can try to find a used/older one out there and do your own updates/renovations/(destruction!), but these new ones are covered under a factory warranty so you can travel for years without the worry of paying for any major repairs. So the choice is yours. Would I buy another new one? HECK YES! And both live and travel in it!

Greg Burns…you’re are so fortunate to have had two Airstreams! Many people DO live in travel trailers for years at a time! Go North in the summer and South in the winter! My parents raised us with several travel trailers and we loved “living” for weeks at our lake lot in our Argosy made by Airstream. If I could afford an Airstream like this it would be heavenly! All those windows…. Nothing is as luxurious!

Thanks, Greg, great to hear you had a good experience with Airstreams! I’d definitely be honored to own one someday 😀
