Ok for a week end or short vacation set up, but no way do I want to be that close to a toilet when sleeping much less preparing food. To much of a health risk.

Oh come on Beth, gypsies used essentially the same setup for 150 odd years and no health issues have been identified with the setup. Health risk is only evident in people not washing their hands… the smell of a toilet, while off-putting, is not a health hazard. Touching its contents and not washing obviously is.

Awesome 50′ sq. ft. Vardo.. Andrew Bennett has done a masterful job on this Vardo, and I love the way he situated everything so that every thing has perfect position, and usability… Thanks Deek for making the accompanying video as it really brings this wonderful tiny space to life, and realization of how usable it space really is…! When most people think 50 sq.ft. they say to themselves, What could you possibly fit in that tiny little space.. Well here is the reality of that space… And it looks great as well as functional…!

So cool! And so beautiful. What a great concept on using space. I love the toilet, and keeping it light was genious. Great job!

Hi there, and a very merry Christmas and wonderful holiday season to all. What a great use of space!! Finally a bed on the first level.. So much better for us “short, older folks” Kind of agree with some about the potty so close to bed and kitchen, but I think that would depend on how long between “clean out runs “you make. Just the flushing the toilet at home. It’s up to how clean or lazy you want to live in. I would prefer dumping it each time you take a magazine or book to the potty room. Do have a question tho, water storage, holding tank for gray water and how about power??? Great job, and thanks for sharing..

Interesting setup, definitely nicer than a lot of things that size. Very clever shower and toilet! If it were mine I’d just have a daybed instead of bed and seating area. Guests could sleep in a tent. The only thing I really have a problem with is that huge corner sticking out from the couch. I would be black and blue from whacking into that thing! For people worried about the toilet setup you could always have a little popup tent outside for it. You could leave it out there or only bring it in for the night or as needed.

This setup reminds me of the 40 ft sailboat our family owned growing up. It served as my parent’s weekend floating cabin with the toilet and the shower together in the “head”, a small kitchen, ingenious storage and seating that converted to beds as well as the regular beds in the forward area. Very similar design as this little Vardo.

No outside pics or details? No power or water or cooking details either? I like the design minus the crapper but, I understand the design there is simple. Not something for me. Nice job though. Just not enough info or pics.
