Old World Vermont: Perch & Nest Tiny Home

This is the Old World Vermont, another wonderful tiny house creation by Perch & Nest.

The home was custom-built for the buyers who designed the whole thing. It’s 24 ft. long and has 300 sq. ft. of loft and ground-floor space. I’m enamored with the folding porch, but my favorite part of the house is definitely the classy bathroom. Enjoy the pictures below!

brilliant bathroom door, stuff is out of the way until needed! (and here was i thinking that pocket doors are such a waste of wall thickness.)

I like seeing something new in a tiny home. This one has the storage in an extra wide pocket door. I think that’s one of the most clever storage ideas I’ve seen in a long time. Excellent work!!

      Exactly! Totally agree on that.

I love the storage built into the sliding door, even if it happens to be narrow, it is still an excellent idea. You could put dowels across each shelf so nothing falls when moving the door. And I love the folding deck. What a clever idea to make it easier to store when traveling.

Perch & Nest has built some of my favorite THOW. I think their work is very high quality, and their designs are innovative in the max. This one, designed by the buyer, is pretty darned fabulous. However it still shows P & N handiwork! I’m ready to buy! Er, ah, if I had A) money, B) a place to put it, and C) did not have a home business involving 200+ sq ft of workspace, tools, and inventory! But I can still *love* it can’t I?

Of course Kathy! 🙂 I’m always falling in love with these THOWs and I’m not yet in a place to get my own!

This is one cool little house. Like the idea of the folding porch. However, didn’t actually see it folded all the way out, not even in the first photo at the top of the page. I’ll go look at their web site and see if they show it there. Nope, same photos you have.

There are some great ideas in this THOW as sliding shelves where stuff can stay when under way or fold up porch which doesn’t add additional length, outdoor shower and utility closets with easy access for maintenance and repairs. Good job.

The fold-up porch is really awesome!

This sliding shelf could actually have shelves on both sides. Just a thought.
