Odyssey Leadership Academy Builds Tiny Tudor: Auction

This post contains affiliate links.

This is the Tiny Tudor, a THOW built by Odyssey Leadership Academy students in Oklahoma with the help of local professionals.

Upwards of $50,000 in labor and supplies was donated by community members, businesses and sponsors to fund the students’ amazing project, and I must say this is probably the most beautiful student-built tiny home I’ve seen! It includes high-end appliances, a very cozy seating room, a functional kitchen and a loft bedroom.

Like many student-built homes, this one is for sale, but it’s being sold via online auction (now closed). You have until May 3 to make your bid right here, and the house is going for $24,600 (sold for $44,898) at the time of publication. You can visit the home at different Oklahoma locations outlined on their tour page here.

Read the full story from NewsOK about the project here. Questions? Contact Sara at 405.513.1267 or [email protected].

Thanks Meg I’m glad you liked it too! I love the subway tiles too and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a mirrored wall in a tiny house!

I love how they work with the house as a whole, even though the rest is much brighter! They have good taste 🙂

I really like this layout but I would have liked to have seen photos of the loft. Can you stand up and is there space around the bed? Also, is there any clothing storage in the loft? It is very cute…lots of light and a feeling of spaciousness.

Because of height regulations , you normally only have about three to four foot of height in the loft. For this reason I’d rather have a downstairs bedroom. All you can get up in the loft is a mattress. Whether or not you have room on the sides depends on the size mattress. Most tiny houses are only seven and a half feet wide because of Road regulations.

You mean eight and half feet wide, which is the actual road legal width limit… Though, interior space can be seven and a half or less due to wall thickness and the possibility of any space given for roof overhang or anything else sticking out the sides of the house as it all has to fit within that road limit…

this is the most brilliant idea for tiny house LOFT HEADROOM…

and so simple too…it gives you STANDING HEADROOM by the side of the bed, so you can get out of bed and stand up immediately.

Just beautiful. They did an excellent job. I use the strategic placement of mirrors to draw light into my home. I don’t know why more tiny homes, often with small windows, don’t do the same. Smart kids. Lovely house.

Wow what a fantastic professional-looking job. I don’t even know what my favorites are. Well yes, maybe. I love the outside design, very unique. The sitting area with the window and the wall sconces is fantastic. The loft looks great. Love the bathroom. The loft looks comfortable and roomy. Nice job!!

Gorgeous little house! I hope they raise a ton of cash for their academy from some well-off pensioner.
The ONLY thing I’d change, as environmentalist I can’t bear a flush toilet. But I bet it makes finding a buyer easier.
The “mirror wall” I didn’t get/see/understand. Maybe I am blind?
Either way, this is so beautiful, no neighbor gonna complain if you set up next to them 🙂

@david-I thought I was blind, too, David! I went back and looked at the pics-it’s the one with the sitting area…and I STILL can barely tell! Awesome use of a mirror, I’d say!

I don’t know if it is because I am a Virgo, that I am so preoccupied with bathrooms, but I wan’t to say this is one nice bathroom in this Tiny House..! I would be in my glory taking a shower in this Tiny House’s bathroom, I love the tile, the wall color, fixtures, counter top, shelving, and the wood beam…! Oh…! And not to forget that mirror, with rear lighting…! I mean come on is this a mans bathroom or what…? And yea…! The rest of the house is pretty nice to…! And it has a flushing toilet…

      April 14, 2017, 4:21 am

Yes men like a well appointed bathroom just as women do…! After a good days work, we go thru our own transformation in order to spend our hard earned money on the women of our dreams, But first only after we stopped in our well appointed bathrooms…..

The door sells it for me…I love, love, LOVE that style of door, with the circular paned window…AWESOME!! I adore the Tudor style anyway, and this house, with the door, and the finishes, and the colors…Man, how I wish I was in a position to bid! The winner is going to be well satisfied, lucky mug!

I am in love with this Tiny House 💝 The current bid is at 31k which is way less than I would of expected but there is still time to go.
I wish they would list what is going to stay….it only states that the decorations are for staging purposes and will be removed. I wonder if that includes the furniture as well.

    • Liz
      April 15, 2017, 4:45 pm

Furniture – most likely goes. Like you, also surprised the bid is so low.

And there is a great picture of the loft area on their website. Room to go around as well as small side tables by the bed. And looks like room to sit up as well

Very, very, VERY well done! This is the nicest and most tastefully constructed THOW yet! Unique choices and new design direction. I wish I had six figures to bid.

The 2 chairs reminds me of my in-laws in a rest home. They had 2 chairs and the tv was across from them…the bed was to one side and the bath to the other…what more does one need. Surfing, I found 2 chairs, much like these ones, that fold out into a bed. Great ideas and plans.

does anyone know the length of this tiny house? I seem to have missed it.
    txs
The same bidder keeps raising his bid, not sure why ? I’m thinking if anyone gets it for less than 40k they got a pretty sweet deal.

    • Natalie C. McKee
      April 17, 2017, 7:36 am

I didn’t see info on the length, either, Karin. And I think that guy really wants the house 🙂

Love the entrance way treatment – the arched door and the sweeping roof line. When I first learned about Tiny Homes, have clear, attractive architectural design was one of the selling points. Personally, I’m disappointed that so many now days do not. This one DOES!

Yipee. A house with proper chairs. Only changes for me would be lose table and replace with IKEA folding table, the one with the drawers you see in so many small homes, and stairs over ladder (better still downstairs bedroom). Not sure why it’s called a Tiny Tudor but is fabulous. Looks comfy and ready to live in. Great job, hope the winner appreciates it like it deserves.
