Saw this tiny house at the Denver Home show March 17th-19th. Great home, wonderful builders!

Gotta say, as a chronic insomniac who might yo-yo in and out of bed at night, I’m not fond of these Minim-style tiny homes with the pull-out bed. I personally would need an always-there bed.

      Rue:

When you go wider, you lose height due to the 2 x 10 floor joists. This pretty much means no loft. That’s the compromise with this design. With a bed on wheels or a Murphy bed, it doesn’t take more than about 30 seconds to push it out of the way or lift up. It seems like you’re making a bigger issue out of it than it really is.

Yes I agree a Murphy bed is a great option. Here at Om Ah Homes. We customize all of our himes. Some folks like a Murphy bed in stead of pullout bed and then use the extra space for storage. Thanks for comment

very creative use of space. I would guess that a resident would have a table that was easily slid aside for the bed to come out. This house does not have anyone living in it yet, someone who would position things to their liking.

Very very nice. Bright and cheerful inside with a super kitchen and bath. Love the no loft design. This is one lucky nun!

I’m a big fan of the wider homes on wheels. Mine is 12 x 28, and I also used the 2 x 10 floor joists cantilevered over the standard 8’6″ trailer. This person did a nice job on the framing construction. Could be made even lighter with plywood instead of OSB though.

I think the layout works pretty nicely. A person could also incorporate a Murphy bed if they don’t like the roll-out bed .

For colder climates he would have to do something different with the hot water on demand, and not so sure the water pipes would survive in the floor for that matter. In most climates it would be fine.

    Overall, a nice little place!

Yes exactly. ..we would recommend a tank water heater for colder climates definitely. But we have insulated the floor extremely well so shouldn’t be a problem. Thanks for commenting!

I have to say that I love the Minim style house; perhaps it is the 12′ width that makes them seem so much more liveable. The 8′ wide tinies are a little claustrophobic sometimes. This house has a great kitchen for its limited length of 20’…nice stove, big sink, big fridge and great counterspace. I would like to see more of the interior spaces, like the bathroom(!!), and the space between the end of the kitchen and the edge of the bed as it is shown (pulled out as a sofa). And what is to the right of the fridge? How much room? Is there any clothing storage anywhere? Other houses like this one that I have seen have a closet between the office and the bathroom for clothing or whatever. With the width of 12′, and having no closet there, how is the space being used? This tiny is beautifully finished and looks very comfortable. Nice job!

OH, my bad!! There are shots of the bathroom. And that also solves the question of where did the closet space on the raised level go. THat’s a nice roomy bathroom. ?

I saw this house at the Denver Home Show this year, and it was my favorite of the 11 tiny homes that displayed there. The photos here don’t really capture the spaciousness and beautiful details in this build. I wish, wish, wish I could figure out how to afford this one because it was truly wonderful!

      How much is it?

Well I would remove the slide out bed. I would use that space for storage. Where desk is I would put the bed. I would put under the counter refrigerator to have more counter space. Love the bathroom layout. Would like to see more pictures of the space.
