Newlyweds Build Grain Silo Tiny House

This post contains affiliate links.

Christoph Kaiser and Shauna Thibault are daring newlyweds who spent their first year of marriage building a 366-square foot grain silo tiny house.

So far they love the tiny life, complete with an outdoor shower, spiral staircase and large kitchen table for entertaining. I’m always up for a round tiny house, and this modern twist on an old storage building is no exception.

Watch their video tour with Zillow below and get more details from Christoph’s architecture firm here.

Look at that space! Amazing.

Now that’s a cozy bedroom! I would love it.

Oh look! A sneaky bathroom!

What’s not to like about this one? Yikes! It’s absolutely beautiful and creative. Homes like this one, whether tiny, small or large seem most always to be the product of an architect who builds and lives in them. Not usual, not inexpensive but quite impressive.

Yea architects certainly have the advantage when it comes to DIY homes haha. They have all the skills we don’t!

This is really nice. Sort of like a big, metal, double-decker yurt. 🙂

During wind storms round houses do much better than square….the wind goes around the walls rather than trying to push them over.

This one is pretty nice, like the sneaky hidden bathroom and spiral staircase.
