It’s fine, but at 35 ft., not really a tiny house.

Why should anyone live in 120 sq. ft.? Tiny is relative. Living smaller and reducing your carbon footprint is what counts. Personally, I would feel claustrophobic in 200 sq ft. I’m looking for more like 285-320 sq ft which is smaller than my 600 sq ft apt that I live in now. I want to live in my tiny house forever. At one time, I lived in a 3,500 sq ft home! I wouldn’t go back to that for anything. Everyone’s different and the word tiny is up to their standards, not yours. Just be glad, we are all downsizing, making do with less and living happy.

Actually, new homes keep getting larger with median square footage at 2467, 11% larger than a decade ago. Lot size and family size are decreasing. I personally really like the Park Model Homes at 399 sq. ft. One bedroom, one bathroom, living area and kitchen.

Chattahoochie Park Model for the win! I could put one of those on a foundation and live happy.

I agree that tiny is relative. Too many variables! Do you work in your house? Who else lives with you? How much stuff do you want to keep in your house? What hobbies do you have? Etc., etc. 🙂

Alex, allow people to build to their liking and all will be fine. Yes, if one or both people work in their tiny homes, more space is necessary. What some people wall “wasted space” others call “open space.” A tiny house has to be individualized which is why they use the word “custom!”

I like the looks of this house. From the main floor I liked the stairs going up to bedroom, But looking back down when you put the camera on them, I thought Wow you could miss one coming down. Just my thoughts. You did a good job, and thanks for sharing. From Iowa

How tall is it in the loft? Would there be any walk around room if a queen bed was put in there?

    • Natalie

Good questions — The loft is probably between 8 and 10 ft. tall. And I can’t say about the bed. Probably room on at least one side. — Tiny House Talk Team

It’s really nice. Very neutral so any colors would fit. I am assuming those nice stairs lead to the bedroom loft. Beautiful floor and trim. Really pretty!

Agreed.. I’m well impressed with many aspects of this one, definitely nears the top of my reference list (despite the handful changes I would make) .

I have a bunch of questions. Has this tiny house been lived in? Are the bugs worked out? What does it weigh? How does it pull? What is the heat source? Is there skirting? Is it insulated enough to be lived in northern Alberta? It can get down to -49 F.
