Beautiful home! My only complaint is a common one that I have: WHY show SO FEW photos of the interior and a mind-numbing amount of the EXTERIOR!?!? Grrrrrrrr! I can’t even begin to count the amount of Tiny Home articles where we’re “treated” to photos of doorknobs and vases with daisies but NO PHOTOS of the kitchen, loo, bedroom, etc. If I want to look at doorknobs, I’ll search *bing* images! (Alex: I know this is NOT your fault! I even go to the original sources and it’s the same thing.) 😀

From the official website, which also features a serious lack of interior shots: “SITUATED ON A VAST PROPERTY ON THE SOUTHERN BANKS OF THE MURRAY RIVER IN TINTALDRA, APPROXIMATELY 100KM EAST OF ALBURY, THIS UNIQUE HOME SERVES AS AN AUSTRALIAN BASE FOR A CLIENT LIVING OVERSEAS AND OFFERS A SECLUDED YET INTIMATE EXISTENCE FROM WHICH THE SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT CAN BE OBSERVED AND REVERED.

As a small boutique project, the design brief required a single-module cabin that was completely offgrid and easily maintained during long periods of vacancy throughout the year. A cladding system was subsequently developed to create a salvaged, shed-like exterior, consisting of a base layer of new zincalume and a top layer of recycled zincalume which was applied for effect.

When viewed from the road, the cabin recedes into the landscape by looking like any number of sheds in the area and appears as a small silhouette against the main range of the snowy mountains on the horizon.

As a stark contrast, the interior is crisp white with clean lines and contemporary fittings and fixtures, although the environment continues to be referenced in punctuations of timber flooring, decking, and a wood fire heater that invites the outdoors in.

Minimalistic in layout, the cabin provides all the amenities needed for living including a master bedroom, bathroom and modest open plan kitchen/living/dining area, while solar panels, a septic tank and a rainwater tank ensures year-round services and minimal environmental impact.”

Thanks Cahow! I know I was mad there were no inside shots to share either but I still figured it was worth looking at especially because we have a floor plan to look at too.

Hi, Alex! I’m so glad that you saw my disclaimer, absolving you of being responsible for posting interior photos when none exist.

I’m certainly NOT upset at YOU…I’m upset with companies/people who submit their tiny homes to your site and Tiny House Swoons and all we see is the exterior. Seriously, that’s what Pinterest is for: oodles of tiny house shots and nothing more. Ha-Ha.

You’re a Super Star in my book, Alex! And I appreciate all the work you do to entice educate, and entertain us. 😀

Tired of seeing such poor articles about these tiny houses. I click all the time and not s single photo of the inside? I can drive by any house anywhere and get this same experience. Time to unfollow.

I never seen a house this cool just by driving around but ok, sorry to see ya go. How can you not even enjoy it one bit? There’s a floor plan to see and everything. I know it’s frustrating, but jeeeez. Any way, there are literally hundreds of tiny/small home interiors you can explore all day (without having to get in your car and waste gas) right here: https://tinyhousetalk.com/category/interiors/

Alex don’t worry about them. You have many more who agree with you. Personally if I don’t see interior shots I think well maybe it’s a privacy issue or they aren’t done yet etc.

I thought this one was worth sharing even though there aren’t any interior shots to show. There is a floor plan sketch. If you don’t like it, sorry! There are tons of tiny and small homes featured with interior shots here that you can explore almost endlessly: https://tinyhousetalk.com/category/interiors/

this plan would be great to devide and dedicate 1/3 of the space for a home office with visiting client area. but at nearly $200,000, it’s appearance lacks sophistication and resembles a super container.

For those looking at the cost. I’m guessing those are Australian dollars, which makes it closer to 136,000 in U.S. Dollars.

I always get excited when I see a small (vs. tiny) home featured here…thanks again for being most things to many people, Alex!

However, re: this particular home – I can deal with the lack of interior pix, sad tho that makes me, but when I look at the floor plan, I see they’ve managed to make a mere 1 bedroom with very spartan storage, 1 small bath (shower only), and a minimal “wall-hung” kitchen. How can they do so little with so much square footage? It might be all this owner needed and requested, but such a waste, IMH (and unasked for) O. If they don’t even want to dazzle me with stunning interior shots to help make me forget the poor layout, then I pass. Already forgotten.

The price also include goods and services tax, which in Aussieland is 10% tacked on to the price.
