Wait. So the pod part can be removed from the truck part? That’s cool. Can leave the part you’re staying in and still have transportation. Neat.

LOVE the styling! Looks like “Lost In Space” meets “Back To The Future”! LOL! What is something like this priced at? If it was reasonably cost effective, I’m SURE you’d sell a BUNCH of them! Kudos to the designer(s)!

OOOOO! Princess Leia’s hair buns have met heavy metal! Seriously though. Interesting, but French only; not in US.

Clever design… but if I’m remembering my euros-to-$ rates, looks like over $50k for the trailer version, no price cited for the detachable-van camper version… and who knows how much to get it to the USA from France… 🙁

Still, this guy should be proud of his design. From photos & floor-plans on the company’s website: the kitchen & toilet facilities are fixed in the center section. The bed and banquette+table built-ins unfold like Murphy beds when the bedroom and dining-room sections pull out from the central compartment.

Particularly clever thing on the van: the top section which provides aerodynamic streamlining on the roof, directing airflow over the camper section, folds down and becomes a pick-up-style cargo box when the camper’s detached. It’s unclear whether you can pack anything under it when it’s on the roof while you’re driving…

Biggest downside (other than price) which I can see: no way to store much during travel. You couldn’t have, say, bookcases in your bedroom, and if there was any under-bed or under-banquette-bench storage, you couldn’t store anything breakable, ’cause the compartments turn on their sides.

    Still worth bookmarking… 🙂
