Man Builds Mobile Tiny Cottage with Front Porch

This post contains affiliate links.

This is the story of a man who built his first tiny cottage on wheels. It has dormers and a covered front porch. It’s really nice, especially for his first build, don’t you think? I ran into this originally over at Reddit where the man’s son posts, “My dad’s first attempt at a tiny house, he’s pretty darn proud of it!”

So I wanted to share this creative tiny home on wheels with you here thinking it might inspire you and maybe even cause you to reconsider your future tiny/small house design? Who knows, right? I really like the dormers and the front porch on this house. This man must be a pretty good carpenter because I see a lot of attention to detail which gives the home a lot of character, don’t you think?

Nice asthetic! I like the painted wainscoting. The bathroom looks elegant! Good finish choices for my taste. More pictures would be great to see!

These homes are getting fancy. I still like the tiny homes in Carmel.

Wow! Really beautiful! It looks like a renaissance cottage in Europe. Very quaint and pretty and cozy all at the same time. I love a house with lots of charm. Very well done!

That’s GORGEOUS. Love the vaulted ceiling and the shower! What’s the total height? And how do you get into the loft?

I like the wainscoting too. I also love the walls. Looks like grass cloth wallpaper. Whatever it is it gives it a finished homey look. I like it much better than the plain wood in most others. Great job. I kept this in my idea file. 🙂

I’d like more pictures, including maybe some with a few pieces of furniture. It helps to visualize the actual size and fit. Love that porch!

Wow! Really nice craftsmanship inside and out. I like the open feel of the design. However, this tiny house looks like it’s a heavy load, I hope he considered that when building. Nice job.

Lovely – I’d love to hear the statistics on this house… how long, how wide, how tall, and – of course – how much? Also – how long did they lavish on the details. I adore the look of this little mobile cabin. I could see wrapping this with a deck and being very happy indeed!
