This is the Minette Short Bus Conversion by Von Thompson Creative.

The DIY school bus RV is cozy and adorable! I see lots of “normal” bus conversions, but I love seeing what can be done in an even tinier space. This one has a bed/lounge area, a fridge, some food and things storage and a sink — all you need for a road trip. Take a video tour below!

The Von Thompsons live full-time in their own amazing full-sized school bus conversion, which you can check out in our post here.

Bed and “couch” area at the back of the bus. Adorable.

Looking from the bed to the cab. Snug!

Nice storage that can be closed during transit.

Tiny fridge under the tiny cabinet. Love the spot for drinks.

Sink on the other side. Spot for some fresh flowers.

Even more clever storage. Another look at the cute sock monkey.

I love fun too!

Hehe. “Cool Bus.” I love clever people!

That looks good. I like what you have done with it.
Also it is good sometimes if they think you are a school bus! kind of urban camouflage.
I wish you all the luck.
I like the way you did the video also.

Keep in mind some states make it “illegal” to keep a color ‘school bus yellow’ on a bus not in the system. I’m trying to think of another color that would look good on the outside of this bus and still keep the interior color scheme. Nice job of making the space usable, practical and good looking.

Yes that is true! You might have to repaint it. I wonder if it could still be a shade of yellow so long as it wasn’t that particular shade.
