Millionaire CEO Tony Hsieh Living Tiny in an Airstream

This post contains affiliate links.

Even though Tony Hsieh is has about $840 million dollars in net worth, he has recently chosen to live simply in a tiny Airstream travel trailer after giving up his luxury apartment.

Granted he does own the 1-acre RV Park where it’s parked. Tony is CEO of Zappos.com which was recently acquired by Amazon.com for over one billion dollars. Right now he is spending over $350 million of his own money investing in and rebuilding downtown Las Vegas where Zappos company headquarters is at. Hsieh is also author of the bestselling book called Delivering Happiness.

His Airstream is a 2013 model with about 200 sq. ft. of living space inside. Unfortunately the Airstream Village is fully occupied and yes it even has Tumbleweed Tiny Houses on the property!

The community he started is the same idea as others have but others using tiny houses, he has Airstreams and tiny houses but from the photo has mostly Airsteams.

With all of his millions you would think he wouldn’t have to box all of his tenants in like sardines like alot of RV parks do because of GREED. If I had his money, I would have made the place much bigger and nicer for my tenants. I never stay in parks like that.

It’s in Las Vegas if that helps at all. Never been there but space is probably limited.

I’m not one to write negatives but I will this time. What a wasted link. Airstreams are thought of with admiration and respect, history. Those well maintained can be beautiful and very comfortable.

So, no photos? Limited space has it’s limits.

I see a privacy barricade wrapped around what looks like an airstream junk yard. Cheap view. This link was very tacky and so was the name dropping. Very disappointed.

Vegas is a very dry hot place to even consider to live….Especially in a trailer, regardless of the brand. Love AS but one can live in a much cooler place with trees and so on. Need to plant some greenery…it would really help mentally. Otherwise, a good idea.

it’s Nov 2020 and I just saw the news report of Mr Tony Hsieh’s death. I’m so glad that the tiny house community was able to profile him and his project when they did.
