It’s official! I’ll be at the Tumbleweed Tiny House workshop in Miami, Florida.
It’s on April 14-15, 2012. If you’re interested, mark your calendar and get your tickets/arrangements made.
Derek “DEEK” Diedricksen author of Humble Homes, Simple Shacks will be leading the workshop.
It’s a great opportunity if you want to meet other tiny house enthusiasts and are interested in learning how to build.
Also- if you have specific questions/concerns before you actually start your project, this is a great place to get your questions answered.
I have a feeling we’re also going to get to learn a whole lot about acquiring RECLAIMED building materials for REALLY cheap.
Note: See below for an exclusive coupon code you can use when checking out for your workshop tickets so you can save $100!
Deek’s an expert at that and I’m excited to spend two days learning from all of his experience. I hope that you can make it, too.
I made a two minute video announcement you can watch below if you want.

It’s been two years since I attended my first Tumbleweed workshop, and this year I get to go again!
On the first one I went to, Jay Shafer led the workshop. This time I get to learn from Deek. This is awesome!
If you ever get a chance to go, I highly recommend it because you’ll learn a lot. Plus, you get to meet some great people.
I’ve been crazy about starting a project to build my own Tumbleweed Lusby ever since I went.
When you go, the instructor will show you how to create your own design. But if you don’t like the idea of designing from scratch, Tumbleweed already has more than 20 small house plans that you can use.
From now until April 31st, Tumbleweed is running a special offer on any of their 6 upcoming 2-day workshops.
