I really like this shell design, though the price is a bit off-putting given that it is only the unfinished husk.

Compared to a lot of “shells” this one is pretty far along, which probably adds to the price. I’ve seen shells that are literally just the exterior and interior plywood. — Tiny House Talk Team

Again it seems a little bit too much for the quality of material used in the construction and the interior finishes.

This is interesting, with the ceiling design it has. Nice to be able to do what you want with it. A shell and you go from there. I kind of agree with Barnie on price. But I don’t know how pricey that wall material is. Thanks for sharing

I agree on price but SIPs aren’t cheap and as far as I understand they are manufactured by someone else Beside that its not an empty shell like others because it has finished surfaces in and out.
When looking on your website you will find tons of useful informations.

Ya agreed, Michael. This one is much more finished than many shells. — Tiny House Talk Team

Right, which means you’re literally paying a premium for surfaces that you now need to run wiring/plumbing/utilities in spite of. I hate to be such a devil’s advocate but this concept of outfitting a prefinished interior with all the necessities of living after the fact seems a few steps back. It certainly motivates me to put a bit more research into the SIP concept before I form an opinion, in lieu of the positives.

So I don’t want to knock his approach but, how do I say this….that painted pressed wood inside would be a deal killer for me. The outside looks nice but the inside creeps me out and I would need more or bigger windows. I can see how it would work well as an office
