Man’s DIY Stealth Cargo Trailer Tiny House

This is one man’s DIY stealth cargo trailer tiny house.

I set out to create the perfect stealth living environment. My plan included a relatively large cargo trailer as a starting point because after it’s purchase, I wouldn’t be able to change things if I found it to be too small. I drew up a few sets of plans but settled on a step by step approach because the whole project could be slightly overwhelming.

Please enjoy, learn more, and re-share below. Thanks!

How did you handle the formaldehyde? Every time I have opened a trailer of this type I have been forced back out by the eye-watering chemical smell.

How anyone could spend one minute let alone sleep in any windowless dwelling or air circulation, without going bonkers is beyond my comprehension.. but I guess it’s to each his own

The air circulation issue is easily remedied with fans and vents. Light and visibility could be provided using something like the plastic domes on the top of solar tubes. On the other hand, no windows, no distractions. Also, this type of setup is probably one where it is to be expected that you would spend your daylight hours outside of the trailer, weather permitting.

One more thing regarding windows…you could always open the back door.

I guess it all boils down to personal needs.. Distractions or no distractions . I personally couldn’t sleep in any windowless room of any kind. same goes for the day time in bad weather . being in a room with no windows at all is something I could never tolerate. But to each his own.. Your rig is very well laid out. I’d need just a couple of windows . Opening up the back door wouldn’t be enough..

That thing is more like a stealth CIA command post rather than a tiny house.. But that makes me like it even more…! But I would like to see more luxury items, and a more clandestine looking interior.. Ya know black leather and walnut, with a mix of slate gray metal cabinetry, some diamond plated aluminum panel flooring….

James , you did a good job with your home and no one can tell you any different. I am thinking along the lines of what you did, but will need a wider trailer ( 8.5 ‘ ) and longer ( about 25 ‘ long ) as i am a double amputee veteran on a chair. For me a murphy bed would do that can let me use it as a computer desk when it’s folded up. Still a good job on your part.

    I’m Out and About …..
